Vanderbilt 40. Kentucky 0. Tennessee 55. Troy 48.

Troy could beat UK. Vandy's SEC wins come against 3 teams with a combined 1 conference win and that was Mizzu over UK.

Vandy's offense isn't really that good but I'm sure TN will give up 30 to them.

They also lost 48-3 to Georgia and scored a whopping 17 points against the vaunted Auburn defense. So what? Not saying we don't lose, but those scores mean nothing.

I agree with that in general. Scores from week to week and against common opponents mean little. But when we give up about 40 points and over 500 yards every week, something is wrong. Vanderbilt is as capable as Troy of exploiting this ****ty defense. Will they? We won't know until we play them.

Just remember that Mizzu suspended 3 or 4 players a few days before the Vandy game and their QB got hurt in the 1st half. Vandy barely won the game. Mizzu is better than Vandy without those unusual circumstances.

Kentucky got their ass beat. It's about the 8th time that's happened this year. Not a surprise.

Just remember, Vanderbilt's three SEC wins this year are only one win shy of being how many Dooley has in his first three years in the conference combined.

James Franklin has more career SEC wins than Dooley. He coaches at Vanderbilt and Dooley had a one year head start. But none of this matters because if there is one thing you can count on Tennessee doing, it is kicking the **** out of Vanderbilt.

To be fair TN has had the absolute toughest SEC schedule the past 3 years. We get Bama every year while Vandy gets Ole Miss. We get LSU, Ark, and Miss St at their best while Vandy gets Auburn at their worst.

I won't be surprised if Vandy beats TN this year but I wouldn't bet money on them either. Their recent surge isnt really that impressive when you look at the competition.

Absolutely! I am afraid we will have our hands full with Mizzou... perhaps more so than we want. They not only have Franklin back, but several other key players are back from injury.

I never said I was impressed. Being fair is a weakness when you are trusting a guy who has never proven to be a winner with your multimillion dollar program. There is no way Dooley's tenure can be justified when you look at the raw numbers. Rationalizations help you forget that we are 0-12 against UGA, SC, Alabama and Florida during his time here. "It's hard" just doesn't ****ing cut it as an excuse when the very reason you hire a coach is to win games. It would be different if we had pulled off a win just once to show improvement. You can say that we weren't favored in any of those games until you pass out, but we will never be favored until we win one of those.

Those other guys don't seem to be having such a rough go of it while they pass trophies back and forth while we toil away in the same dungeon as Vanderbilt and Kentucky. I am so far from impressed that I want to punch a wall that we can look up at the faux success of Vanderbilt and our only defense is that it is hard to win.

We are on the same page over all. My point was only in comparing Dooley to Franklin's SEC record. But despite playing the easier schedule I will give the nod to Franklin simply because its Vandy and 6 wins for them is the equivalent of 10 wins to TN. Cleary DD has not gotten us anywhere near that.

Promise you candy would get curb stomped by Troy. They don't have the offense to keep up. They wouldn't have given up near as much, but they wouldn't have scored near as much either.

Kentucky sucks but I wouldn't have thought Vandy would have dropped 40 on them and I certainly would not have thought Vandy would have blanked them. I think Vandy beats Troy more easily than our team did today. But we'll never know for sure.

They'll have to outscore Vandy. Simple as that.. Same with Missouri.. Kentucky, they'll beat them by a lot this year... Even with this defense..
