Banks is one of the highest paid DCs (2.15 million anually). Put big money out there and DCs will come.

So I don’t want Banks to leave just yet but I also think it wouldn’t be hard to land a quality DC with the current number of openings. I hate the Penn State to Tennessee pipeline but Brent Pry will be a hot DC name.

Baker at LSU will be another. I don’t get it but Durkin will be somewhat sought after.

They are adding $229 million to the Athletics budget, starting next year. Franklin will have all the resources he needs.

Franklin couldn't have landed a better gig and VA Tech couldn't have gotten a better coach imo. Great spot to be in for both parties.

The pressure is now off in a lot of ways for Franklin but of course he's now going to be in his villain arc so I wouldn't be surprised to see him take over the ACC and be in the playoffs quite often due to how weak the ACC is

In some ways, I think he was kind of scared to come down and coach here in the SEC, too hard down here

ACC is so wide open, Franklin easily just became the best coach in the league and hasn't even signed his first recruit yet. There is no true alpha coach over in the ACC.
