'21 VA RB TreVeyon Henderson (Ohio State commit)

He’ll go to OU. Ohio State will have too many RBs this cycle because they’re about to land Donovan Edwards too

Since they already have #5 back Evan Pryor and are leading for #3 back Donovan Edwards and also evidently lead for Henderson I doubt they get all 3..... that's unheard of.

Well, it's not exactly unheard of.

Signed,

Class of 2001 RBs...
Jabari Davis
Cedric Houston
Derrick Tinsley
Never heard of those guys or 2001... only started following recruiting in late nineties.

2001 was a space odyssey, we skipped football that year. ****ing Saban.

I am quarantined for 2+ weeks and have a pic of Brady Hoke drinking water as my avatar. Does it look like I would keep my word for anything I post on an anonymous website?

This is honestly the only place I care to post though. I've watched Henderson and Chris Tyree play quite a bit. It's a little bit funny because when they played each other it was very clear Henderson was the better player but Tyree was getting a lot more attention at the time. Now Henderson is one of the biggest recruits in the nation.

Not really.

Alabama signed 4 running backs all in the top 100 one year. Kamara, Derrick Henry, Tennepenny, and forgot the other one.

It's silly for recruits to do that, but it happens.

Tyren Jones is the one you’re missing.

@P810sDaMan18 whats your take on Henderson. Not sure on this one. #1?
#1 in the country? I’m not sure about that. I’ve always thought it was a bit of a reach to say that one kid is better than another that plays all the way across the country. He is a good football player and I think he will do well. But how well will he do at the next level? RBs have not faired to well leaving the state from this area. If he stays in Va or the acc I think he will be more successful. I hope he stays away from VT. Been hearing a lot of bad things.

I don't think the NCAA or Universities would go for starting a season later in the year

If it doesn't start in September, it ain't happening IMO

People say TN isnt a top tier program bc Knoxville is a mid market. You cant win there. Facilities are great but its a cow town, etc.

Enter Columbus OH. Literally, play Michigan.

Its amazing to me that a rust belt town can continually recruit the top players in Country. They play NO ONE & run the schpread.

It just amazes me.

Why anyone in their mind wants to play in that system, in that conference, is beyond me? But then im not a schmillenial.

Referring to him being the #1 RB. I think he is possibly Top 5 but not #1. Thanks for the info.

The problem is your comparison is flawed. Columbus metro area is 2.2 million people (twice that of the Knoxville metro population). Not exactly a cow town, they have major league sports franchises in hockey and soccer (the arena district downtown is pretty good), are an hour and a half drive to NFL and MLB. They have great entertainment venues in regards to concerts, shopping, restaurants, casinos, etc. Basically, you get a top college football program in the midst of a city environment with more than plenty to do as a 18-22 year old.

Factor in the fact that their conference is total crap and they only have to win less than 2 marquee games a year to reach the playoffs, then the last hurdle to overcome is the stupid Ohio weather. Which is most years is mostly annoying more than anything.

Unfortunately they're going to be a force for years to come. The midwest has a couple good teams but for a state with Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, a huge high school football talent pool, and being the major school in the state means stupid OSU sits in a perfect place with very few hurdles to overcome in regards to success.

kids who are committing are not from OH.

Not saying they are, the fact remains they have everything in Columbus they can get anywhere outside of a coastline. I often complain about the winter weather here, when I do I check Knoxville's to find 9 times out of 10 that it's very similar. We have the occasional snowy winter, but nothing like Michigan or Wisconsin, it's temperate for the most part.

As much as I hate to admit it, the Buckeye fan base is about as rabid as an SEC fan base. I'm not saying we dont have the resources to rival them, just saying that I understand for a kid choosing a school, OSU has a pretty good pitch in Columbus outside of football.

Ohio is generally a **** hole.

Hence why TN is better.

OSU fans are intense, but it's in a different way than SEC fans. They are kind of orphans because no one matches them in the Big 10, but they are so envious of the SEC even though they would never admit it.
