'26 VA RB Savion Hiter

One would guess Heupel and Sims would turn their attention to the backup plan, the very moment they know UT is not the choice. That seems to haven't happened yet.

That is unless they are happy with not signing a RB in this class.
From the VQ guys it seems like they will look in the portal if we miss

I wanna believe! I really do. We just don't have much to go on.

Trying to be objective as possible, I think Hiter to Tennessee makes a lot of sense for him, but I understand how little that means in recruiting.

The kid could be amazing here...SEC Player of the Year amazing, like our last RB. Paired with George and Brandon, who knows how great he'd be.

Ill say this...the quotes are extensive on Savion being a smart, good kid, with a smart, great family. They seem to be very detailed oriented, and very disciplined, with EVERYTHING highly thought through. One would have to also guess that they have paid FULL attention to what has been going on at Michigan. And, if they did that, they had to have seen the mountain of evidence proving Michigan cheated their ass off, and lied about it; no matter the NCAA punishment...that was a farce.

I think all of that could have some effect on his decision, at least a little. If they paid attention, they know Michigan got off scot free. If they know, like everyone knows, Michigan cheated on this grand of a scale, and basically got away with it...they now have to ask themselves, "Do we want to play for cheaters? Cheaters who went so far as to affect other school's games, including the National Championship?"

In all honesty, rb isnt that big of a priority rn, we will have lewis, bishop, morris, and baker next year, plus Moa may rb here if we land Keys

It will be a bummer if we miss on Hiter...I want to sign ALLLLL of the playmakers; but, no, it will by no means gut us. I love our RB room, and the '27 backs we are in on are the elite of the elite. Always the portal, as well. I believe Star Thomas is going to be huge for us this year.

Here are a few minor updates that won’t invade his privacy or steal his moment:

Hiter and family have not spoken to anyone on staff unless it’s been with Heupel or Sims. HC and position coach have open lines to him but can choose to not share personal conversations with anyone else. I wouldn’t doubt that’s happened given the family’s concern with privacy.

Two+ weeks ago there was some flurry of discussions around NIL and a suggestion that
his family might ask for further clarification in writing regarding some questions they had. That didn’t happen. You can read that as they didn’t need clarification, or they shut down or something else.

I stand by earlier comments that we had great confidence mid-Summer after some conversations with him.

It’s been eerily quiet since late July.

Regardless of what the kid does he shouldn’t be labeled as sneaky or manipulative. He’s a good kid from a good family and he wants this moment.

I have no idea if Michigan turned him or not. No one on staff (with the possible exceptions I mentioned), no one in AD, or among boosters knows anything new.

He’s a great back and a solid young man. I’d love to have him, but we’ll be ok either way.
Well sounds like he may have froze us out. That’s disappointing. He would have been a great addition.

People hate when a kid makes it all about the money and then question when a kid doesn’t make it all about the money.

Amazing…
I mean most of them are about the money nowadays. I ain’t hating on Savion he has every right to get his bag like any other player. I don’t believe he’ll make his decision purely on money but it’s safe to say he’s not playing for free. Kids got a family too so I’m sure he’s thinking about them getting taken care of,

watch out all community college 3 stars, UT may be coming after you!!😂
I remember when Star committed, half these dum dum's on here bitched and whined. They said he would never play and is a waste of a scholly. Yet, he's probably been one of the more impressive RB's this fall according to reports . I'll trust the Coach's until they prove untrustworthy.
