They don’t think an elite back could still make a impactful difference. And they are wrong. That’s called settling, I say it all the time, you recruit the best possible players at all positions. If you miss you move on to your next possible best get. Now sometimes folks are underrated and coaches should trust their evaluations over the so called star experts. But you don’t turn away from a prime player and settle. You have to pursue difference makers, and we are pursuing them. GBOLike eighty percent of the posts in the last 20 pages say the same thing. I’ve never understood that. Nothing personal ,not trying to be a jerk, but I just don’t understand why people do that.
Know we've got a lot of great players still on the line, but if we could have just one, it would be this kid. WR's are all the rage, but I love the thought of us getting a truly special RB. We've been on a run at the position, but this kid looks to be special to my untrained and very old eyes. He's literally the ONLY RB we're recruiting this cycle. So, yeah, missing on him would be a big deal. I understand you choose optimism. That's fine. But it's realism, not pessimism, to say it's a big deal when you miss on the only guy you're recruiting for a key position. It wouldn't be the end of the world, but it would definitely be a grade-A nut shot.
These guys that keep it close to the vest drive me crazy. NOT A CLUE! Like your logic, hate when talking heads point another direction. Wish I had some idea of our peer recruiting frequency.I say Vol.
All of this according to 247...
Kid has been to Knoxville 5 different times; 4 times on his own dime. He was on campus in April, and then came back again a month later. Then he took his official visits, Knoxville being the last of those. No more unofficial visits to anywhere, after those last two times he visited us.
Before his unofficial visits in April and May, the last visits he made before that were to UGA and OSU, all the way back in November. Outside of his official visit in June, he hasn't been to Ann Arbor since October of last year. That's pushing a year since he's been there, outside his official. He's been to Knoxville 4 different times in that span.
Taking it back old school...follow the visits, baby!
Go Big Orange.
Somehow that makes me more confident. He's the only one so it seems they would go all in. However, we've seen this play out before with WRs that we ended up missing. However, I think the NIL coffers are deep this cycle with the additional booster support and now the Adidas NIL dealHe's literally the ONLY RB we're recruiting this cycle. So, yeah, missing on him would be a big deal. I understand you choose optimism. That's fine. It seems like everyone (negas and sunshiners) has something to cling to here.Denial is a river in egypt
Gonna go Hawaii. It seems like everyone (negas and sunshiners) has something to cling to here.
If you want to believe it's Tennessee, his visits would support that.
If you want to believe it's Michigan, his social media activity supports that.
If you want to believe he pulls a Jordan Seaton-style fake out? Well, this recruitment has been unusually quiet. There isn't enough publicly available information on this kid for any fan to feel strongly about what his choice is going to be. Hiter is one of the better "gonna keep it to myself" recruits I've followed recently. Nothing should surprise anyone here.
This is some deep, serious business. Will he plead the 5th?"In speaking with a Louisa County official, it will be a controlled environment in which reporters will not be able to directly ask Hiter questions,” noted 247Sports’ Brian Dohn. “Instead, reporters are being told to submit their questions in advance. Those questions will be vetted, and a Louisa County administrator will read selected questions to Hiter, who will then provide his answers. There will also be no interviews on the side after the formal announcement is finished, a Louisa County official said"
Goodness, it’s a hs kid choosing a team not the president talking about some top secret operation"In speaking with a Louisa County official, it will be a controlled environment in which reporters will not be able to directly ask Hiter questions,” noted 247Sports’ Brian Dohn. “Instead, reporters are being told to submit their questions in advance.
