'26 VA RB Savion Hiter

If we land those guys then letting Nico walk makes all the sense in the world.

A guy that couldn’t read defenses, deliver accurate passes consistently, forced limited game plans demanding more money is good enough reason to let him walk regardless of who we land.

I’ll give Nico this - he tried hard. Effort was always there. And perhaps with more time Heup would’ve turned him into the superstar we all thought he could be. But he wasn’t that.

From a pure football standpoint, Tennessee makes the most sense here. Hiter already plays in a similar offense to Tennessee and Heupel has had two starters in a row go pro after big junior years and a three year career where they didn't get beat up from being overworked.

Michigan's offense has produced good stats for their backs, but those guys get a lot of carries. Sampson getting 250+ last year was an anomaly since we've typically had two backs with around 150 each year under Heupel. Corum at Michigan had over 650 carries in three years. Sampson had 422 carries in three years. That's an additional season's worth of carries over a three year career. Maybe Michigan's current staff will handle things differently, but the current coach worked for the last one...so odds are they'll lean very hard on their best back.

Hiter can come to Tennessee, put up great numbers in a talented rotation, be the guy his Junior year (maybe even Soph year too), and then go pro after a big Junior season as a guy without a lot of wear on him.

That’s some of the best high school RB film I’ve ever seen. Good Lord.

I'll have to disagree. He looks good but not high 5-star RB good. Reminds me of former Georgia RB Knowshon Moreno. Good back but not all-time special. The guy who looks like an all-time great RB recruit is David Gabriel-Georges from the 2027 class. Now that's a guy worth getting into a bidding war over. He reminds me of CJ2k. He's got superstar written all over him.

He reminds me of a Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Frank Gore, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Curtis Martin, LaDainian Tomlinson, Jerome Bettis, Eric Dickerson, and Tony Dorsett combination. Probably going to better than all of those guys. JMO IMO

If he reminds you of Knowshon, I’d take that in a heartbeat. 2700 yds, 600 yds receiving and 32 total TD’s in only 2 seasons at UGA. Sign me up to watch that all day.

On3 guys seem to be sticking with Michigan despite saying there is growing optimism on Vols side of things. There main reason is because Michigan is going all in from an NIL standpoint but so are the Vols. I'll roll with AP and Stoerner over the on3 dorks
Still don't get why Mishitcan is still a possibility with him. 🤪 They are about to get slammed by the NCAA!

Rivals No. 1 ranked running back Savion Hiter has locked in his decision date for Aug. 19.

Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee are the finalists. The intel hasn’t changed. Wolverines and Vols are the two we think are in the best position.

Michigan has always been one of the top contenders, Tennessee has surged this year. Around Knoxville they’ve felt very confident at times with Hiter. From the relationship with coach De’Rail Sims to the recent draft picks of Jaylen Wright and Dylan Sampson (SEC Offensive Player of the Year) to going over Josh Heupel’s past offensive success throughout his career and the magnitude of the running back in his scheme, the Vols have become a very enticing option.

With Michigan, Hiter has always been the top overall target regardless of position. The NFL-style scheme and the way the running back is featured, the long-standing relationship with Tony Alford and vibe around the program have always been things that have excited him about the program.

Beyond all that, Hiter is keeping his process close to the vest.

I think the national guys are totally in the dark on this one. They’ve been repeating the same info for months now.

Seems like they are just trying to keep both fanbases engaged up until his announcement.

Knowshon was unreal in college. I don’t give a damn what any of these guys do in the NFL unless it’s for my giants

If he is Moreno then holy hell he will break records here.
