We are likely going to have to pay way more than Ohio State to get Hiter, just like we probably did with Sanders, etc., and that is one of our biggest problems right now. If Huepel would hire a GM and quit just promoting GA’s on the offensive side and hire the best available position coaches, we would bring in a whole lot more talent for our money. Instead we have to overpay and put all our NIL eggs in just a few baskets.

Side note: I feel a lot better about Sims than some of the other guys on the offensive side.

Agreed.

Huepel is a great manager. He doesnt micro manage, lets his guys do their thing. But ar some point you have to be real, you cant build everyone into a great coach.

The truth is, we’ve beaten Ohio State for recruits, they’ve beaten us for recruits. That’s not “owning.”

Perhaps you don’t understand what “narrative” means, but you’re the only one who has presented one.

Wanna compare who they have got from us vs what we have gotten from them? Unfortunately my wife is an Ohio State fan, I know it all too well. The truth hurts sometimes pard.

This kid would do so well in our offense.

Ohio State and Tennessee both but a RB on the Cleveland Browns this year coincidentally.

I’m never worried about RB tho.
Our running game has been solid to great every year. We put Jaylen Wright and Dylan Simpson in the league and both were 3 Staes with speed.
I like this formula. Lewis is the highest rated guy we’ve recruited and actually signed with us.

Our staff new Sampson and Wright were underrated. You can often tell the 3 stars that are likely better by the schools that are recruiting them. Having said that I want us to land Hiter. And obviously the staff wants him as well. Lewis has a chance to be very good and Bishop is underrated. Nothing wrong with spotting underrated players, but that shouldn’t stop you from going after the best either. I like Sabans quote, I like the big athletic guys. There is a reason light heavyweights don’t fight Heavyweights. That shouldn’t keep anyone away from a lighter players, but day in and day out you try to get the biggest fastest strongest player at each position. Of course other factors involved but still the bigger stronger faster you are the better chance you have of having a winning team. GBO
