'26 VA RB Savion Hiter (Michigan commit)

It is a portal hack. No one is allowed to leave Michigan for the transfer portal until after 5 days after their new coach is signed.

That’s completely false. Numerous players have already declared that they’re entering the portal since he was fired.

Since Michigan won't sign a new coach, the additional transfer portal window won't open for their players.

The portal is about to open and then they’ll get a second window that no other team has. That’s not an advantage.

Sure they will get the opportunity to leave Jan 2nd when the regular portal opens, but it gives time for the shock of being betrayed and lied to wear down. Also, other teams are prevented from contacting recruits that have signed in the early window. So Michigan is being given extra time to convince their recruiting class, whom they deceived and put in this bad situation, to stay with their program.

Michigan has gained nothing from this

My original quote was really only concerning incoming freshman who signed the dotted line Dec 5th. How many of them have been released of the signing or have entered the transfer portal?

In previous years, an additional portal window would have opened immediately for a 30 day period the moment Moore was fired. But now that the new rule claims you have to wait until 5 days after the new coach is hired before

So was it not nefarious for Michigan to wait until after the signing period to finalize their investigation of Moore and fire him? Some media members have claimed the rumors had been swirling for a while and that it had been known an opening would come open soon. But Michigan knew if they could just get past the signing day, they could lock recruits in until, at minimum, 5 days after they signed a new coach. And they could delay hiring a new coach to let things simmer down. How is this not ethically wrong?

Of course, it is a bad position for Michigan to be in either way, but they seemingly were able to limit the damage to this point becuase they timed everything to their full advantage, even at the detriment of HS recruits.

With the Whittingham hire and the style/scheme he uses. Pretty sure Hiter sticks with them. Whittingham is similar to Harbuagh in the type of football he likes to run. Tough and physical.

Once Hiter didn’t ask out of his NLI it was evident he was staying. Cashing those checks signed by Larry Ellison.

Well, we can at least hope that the extra window gives their players an opportunity to squeeze more out of their bank accounts, NIL and otherwise. Will impact their portal and 26’ disposable money.
