'26 VA RB Savion Hiter (Michigan commit)

Not at all a surprise. Those of us predicting this outcome
were chastised. Now the wait for Keys. (outcome most likely similar)
Yes on Keys. We will end up with a really good class . . . That will be middle of the pack SEC. To move into the top range players like Keys / Hiter are needed. As noted by many . . . We have landed Sanders / Brandon / etc. UT’s recruiting, I think, is improving.

By default because Quinshon Judkins is an idiot. And Sampson still has to beat out the incumbent Jerome Ford who is currently listed as the starter on the depth chart. Don't act like he just went and balled out and took the job solely on his own merit. And even if he does win the job, he still has to be successful on the field, which is what I alluded to.
“Dont act like Dylan went to camp and played well bc he didnt”

Yikes man.

The problem is that even with Keys, we will still be 4-6 in SEC recruiting.
That ain't good enough. Ceiling at that rate is 9 wins with a 10 win season every 3-4 years depending
on our schedule.

Would have been nice but RB seems more plug n play for Heupel’s offense. I’d love to have a premier guy but I wouldn’t consider it a must have for success due to the system we run.

Will be interesting to hear the stories of this by many who said it was essentially a done deal 3 weeks ago. I know it's fluid, but gotta think Michigan came to the table with more.

Don't twist my words.

1. He isn't listed as the starting RB.
2. He was seriously aided by Judkins legal issues and lack of a signed contract.
3. Nick Chubb was let go.

None of that implies Sampson didn't play well in camp. It simply clarifies that some things went in his favor and now he sits near the top of the depth chart. Up to him to prove he deserves to stay there. If he hadn't played well, Pierre Strong or Trayveon Williams would be ahead of him, or the Browns would have brought in additional competition.

I do think we were recruiting Hiter harder than Keys
Sims and Heupel were working on Hiter.

Pope is working on Keys. We’re working on Keys plenty hard. In a recruitment where a lot of people are saying to bet on the field and not LSU to land him, Tennessee is ahead of the rest of the field.

If anyone cares about taking the next step, these are the type of recruitments & players you need to start winning out on.

Again, if you're content with going 8-4 to 10-2 every year with an occasional playoff berth then I can see why a lot of you defend every recruiting miss.

When you're in a holding pattern for 3-4 years with nothing improving while asking the fans to choke up more cash at every turn, don't be surprised when people complain.

The Adidas deal made a ton of sense on the surface, however if it doesn't result in better recruiting then the move from Nike is moot and unnecessary from a performance standpoint.

If you're good with school admin lining their pocket without substantial roster investment & improvement, then you'll sleep just fine at night.

Dude the Adidas deal is like a week old if that. Probably going to see a lot more of an impact next year than this recruiting cycle.

I just hope our drooling mouth breathing brethren on social media remember with the transfer portal set up the way it currently is that it's not a good idea to act a fool on a recruits account. A lot can change in a year.

Well we’ve got one two spots above that just equated picking Michigan to having lesser character. We’re off and running.

Not sure where you're getting that none of these things are happening financially. That's part of the problem here. People go on these rants without doing their due diligence as to what is actually going on within the program. We offered a sizable NIL package here. To the point that us and Michigan priced out UGA and Ohio State. People complain because they are miserable with themselves. Most of the people whining about the prices going up don't even attend the games. Kinda like you taking a shot at the Adidas deal that was announced about a week ago. You're already making an assessment on its impact before anything has had the proper time to be evaluated. People like you will never be pleased and nor should anyone try to please you.

People complain no matter what lol

Not sure why a stud RB wouldn’t want to play here. People think we are Air Raid our run game is over better than our passing. Georges is a must get.
