'26 VA RB Savion Hiter (Michigan commit)

I don’t think this is a ā€œstaff can’t closeā€ situation at all, but it has felt weird to me that in 5 years here we have not had as much success with true top-end blue chip skill player positions as I figured we would with an offensive mind like Heupel. I just don’t get it. I figured we’d land more then just Mike Matthews when it came to 5-Star level skill players in 5 years….
The negative recruiting aspect towards Heupel's offense is real. And it's not going to change until we see pros succeeding in the NFL the way OSU, LSU, and Bama do.

This dude was always Michigan from the start, not sure why our insiders believed he was coming here
Because he and his family led us to believe he would come. I’m sure AP will comment on it later too as he usually hides details until they have announced. We only recruited him for this year and felt he was going to come weeks ago. He wasn’t all Michigan unless he played our staff

Now would be a great opportunity for some of you to practice restraint. With Michigan on probation we could be back in the mix shortly. They have proven to be incapable of following rules and they probably have the largest microscope on them right now.

As soon as he set his announcement date to be Bryce Underwood's birthday, I knew it was over. Our writers pretended like that was just a coincidence, revealing that they are either overly naive or simply can't be trusted.
yup exactly

Not much left on the table beyond potentially flipping Keys. This class could easily end up in the 15-20 range if there aren't some unexpected flips or substantial ranking increases on the horizon.

I think this is it unfortunately... It would be nice for Thorton, Tillman, Sampson, etc. to have good years. Hell, I thought Darnell Wright was a slam dunk but he is struggling too.

If the NCAA was ever going to do anything to Michigan, it would have happened last week. The ā€˜AA did the bare minimum so it would come across as them at least doing ā€œsomething.ā€

I wanted to add that to my post but was cautious because usually people roast you if you imply the scheme may be the problem. But, I agree. It’s a pretty large sample size now that in 5 years we’ve landed one 5-star skill position player (non-QB) in Mike Matthews and that’s it. Maybe we don’t need them in his scheme to be effective, but it sure would be nice to have the talent that these other title contenders have….
