I agree but I also have to wonder what an elite athlete could do at RB in this offense. I can understand why elite WR's might think twice about Tennessee .... but RB's should be tripping over themselves to play here. It would be discouraging to miss this target. I think it's a big deal.It would be great to add this guy, but if we dont we dont. We've been really good at elevating the play of RBs when they get here. We need to focus on brining in elite WRs for GMac and FB to throw to. RB will always be fine.
I'm feeling the same way.I say Vol.
All of this according to 247...
Kid has been to Knoxville 5 different times; 4 times on his own dime. He was on campus in April, and then came back again a month later. Then he took his official visits, Knoxville being the last of those. No more unofficial visits to anywhere, after those last two times he visited us.
Before his unofficial visits in April and May, the last visits he made before that were to UGA and OSU, all the way back in November. Outside of his official visit in June, he hasn't been to Ann Arbor since October of last year. That's pushing a year since he's been there, outside his official. He's been to Knoxville 4 different times in that span.
Taking it back old school...follow the visits, baby!
Go Big Orange.
Peyton Lewis and Daune Morris are both elite athletes. I think Morris could be used in the slot as well. Especially if they’ve made some changes to the offense and we start using more motions. He would be absolutely deadly on jet touch passes and some of those orbit counters teams are running now. Personally I’d rather miss on this guy and use that money to secure Keys sooner rather than later. Because Bishop Lewis, and Morris all have 2 or more years of eligibility after this season and they have the entire 2027 cycle to find a back. Oddly enough RB seems to be the position on the roster where we’ve built the most depth. Barring any transfers, and I don’t really see who would outside of maybe Baker in a year or two, we should be 3 deep in that room for the next 3 seasonsI agree but I also have to wonder what an elite athlete could do at RB in this offense. I just think with the way we've elevated the play of RBs here, taking decent players and making them great makes things a lot easier to miss on a guy like this. We cannot say the same thing about WR, which is why Keys is more important than Hiter to me.I agree but I also have to wonder what an elite athlete could do at RB in this offense. If I was Hiter, now is the time I would be releasing rumors of other schools as a smokescreen. Just sayingI say Vol.

You aren’t going to hear too much obviously because they don’t want to spoil the kids moment. That doesn’t mean he is or isn’t going to pick UT. But it gives Tennessee a better chance.

While having an elite playmaker like Hiter at RB would be huge for getting more splash plays, we should remember that we will still rush for 2,500 yards like we've done the last 4 seasons.Hope Hiter commits to UT.
Respect that he's kept it quiet and low key. That's so rare with such a highly rated prospect.
If he doesn't commit to UT, they'll be fine in the running back room now and moving forward.
Like eighty percent of the posts in the last 20 pages say the same thing. I’ve never understood that. Nothing personal ,not trying to be a jerk, but I just don’t understand why people do that. While having an elite playmaker like Hiter at RB would be huge for getting more splash plays, we should remember that we will still rush for 2,500 yards like we've done the last 4 seasons.
