He may have known about the situation, but I find it unlikely he was told they were going to fire Moore.

Could there have been speculation about him getting fired? May be. But that's not information you can let leak out and risk Moore sabotaging your team.

According to a friend who is a moderate donor to Michigan, the “rumors” were being dismissed at every turn.
My friend believes that Michigan slow walked things to get enough evidence for a firing WITH cause. Admin knew but covered it up till it was expedient.

Neither side wants a lawsuit so a settlement will be made. In a lawsuit, the discovery would be damaging to both sides

just like johnson city not being criminally complicit in covering up their abetting a serial rapist and baby molester. however I show $21 million reasons of settled dollars that say otherwise, oh and another $2.65 million reasons this past week.

City refuses to comment

Yep. I have no idea what it means for Hiter, I just have the feeling that Michigan wasn’t completely honest with players and definitely weren’t honest with most donating alumni.

I doubt that. If the word was out there, SM would've known, and wouldn't have crashed out the way he did. I know gossip is juicy, and everyone wants to say people knew, but the players didnt know anything. You know how I know, kids this age put everything on social media. The old saying goes, if 2 people know, it's 1 too many.

I feel ya and agree somewhat with your sentiment. My friend heard the rumors in October I believe. So it had been getting out. Also, this girl was always around too. You can always tell an “office romance”.

My friends paid Jon Gruden $300 for a minute and a half cameo video addressing their friend in their group chat that’s a notre dame fan. He extolled the virtues of the SEC as a superior conference, speaking directly to their friend. I thought it was AI at first. Pretty funny. Just letting yall know Jon Gruden is open for biz for anyone interested.

There is a lot of "word" out there, but most of it is inaccurate and comes from message boards. Michigan didn't wait til after signing day to fire him by chance. If recruits knew, the TE that asked for a release would have never signed. I have no clue what Hiter will do, but I certainly don't believe the narrative michigan is telling themselves to feel better any more than what vols fans are telling themselves.

The investigation into Moore's relationship with the staffer took place earlier in the year. He raised her salary from about $45k to about $95k with no change in title and was told to distance from her. I doubt Hiter and company were aware he'd have a psychotic episode, threaten to kill himself and others, and go to prison, creating a national PR disaster. This thing is EVERYWHERE in the news. It's not just some minor improper behavior scandal. Hiter may stay at Michigan, but this situation will be very ugly no matter what.

it was a 55% raise I believe. Which would be $85K from 55K. I believe. Again, maths isnt my strong suit.

As a man, the reaction from men that cheat and get the other chick pregnant is weird. It's like they don't know how sex works. Every crime show I see, it is either the other woman get pregnant and the man crashes out or child custody.
