UT's non-conference schedule

Yes we should ......... but only if your georgia or bama.Year in and year out these teams play horrible non -conf. teams.Whereas the VOLS usually have a good non-conf. schedule.

The aguments come from both sides as to non-conference opponents. Richt has said many times that he will NEVER play a hard OOC schedule.

Huh? We played OklaState/GT/Troy this year...not three terrible teams at all.

We play @Arizona State next year...

We also play future games with Oregon, Louisville, etc....

He mentioned in an article a few months back about not wanting to add Texas or Southern Cal to those games already.

Is that really unreasonable?

You can prop it up all you want but the fact remains UGA has not left the South for a regular season game since a 1965 trip to Michigan (based on my quick scan of opponents). Please do not tell me you want to be a nationally recognized program when your team can take a bus to every game it plays.

I never said I want to be a national recognized program because I know we already are :dance2:

But, you completely side-stepped what I was talking about as I was responding to this comment:

Richt has said many times that he will NEVER play a hard OOC schedule.

Obviously by who we have scheduled for the upcoming future, who we played THIS Year, etc....that isn't true

Plus, I don't think he ever said what was stated above...it was in response to adding Southern Cal or Texas to those games already scheduled

But, you completely side-stepped what I was talking about as I was responding to this comment:

and you sidestepped the question about why there were very few UGA fans alive the last time they traveled north of the M-D line or west of the Miss River. Read any CFB board and, when discussing OOC schedules, see if UGA isn't mentioned as a laughing stock. I have no idea what Richt may/may not have said and I don't really care. The proof is right in front of you.

Nothing I said was side-stepped. I simply responded to someone who talked about Richt not wanting a tough OOC schedule and the fact is, this year's games and future ones don't support the "He doesn't want a tough OOC" statement.

Whether you look at UGA's OOC of the past as pathetic or not...well, to be honest...I don't care ;)

I have no idea what Richt may/may not have said and I don't really care.
Considering the comment above was completely incorrect, I am sure you don't care because it would completely disprove the statement
