UT's Crompton projected 2nd-round draft pick?

It would be hilarious if Crompton got drafted ahead of Tebow. I don't believe it, but it would be awesome.

(And Lane Kiffin would tell every top QB recruit for the next ten years about how he took a guy that was getting death threats in October and turned him into a first-day draft pick in April. That part, not so awesome. The man may be a jackass, but he can coach.)

No way he's a second round pick.

I do think he'll get a look late in the second day. Words I would have never had said one year ago. JC grew up a lot last year and actually somewhat started to reach some of his natural potential.

I hope the best for JC in the NFL, but entering the league with a lot of hype may not be the best thing for him to succeed.

From the last paragraph:

"Crompton will be drafted later than we have him rated, if he is drafted at all"

If he ends up being a 2nd round pick, which I doubt will happen, he needs to take his 1st year's salary, split it 3 ways, and send checks to CLK, CDR, and CJC.

Tebow is plummeting down the draft board, Crompton getting drafted before is a slight possibility.

Now that would result in some interesting conversation with some of our Gator visitors. Doubtful but we'll have to wait until April to find out.

I see him getting picked up near the very end.

No way he goes 2nd. He did wonder's for our program in his Senior season, that I am grateful for. But scouts do not forget his other 3 years. Due to that, he has some proving ground to work with. I think he could make a solid back up, but I wouldn't be surprised if he went the route of Casey Clausen and not make the practice squad.

This...

and this...

....but he should develop into a good starting quarterback. It is important for him to go to a team with a quarterbacks coach who teaches fundamentals.
