OLE MISS BEAT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have less talent than them?

If Florida played Ole Miss ten times they would beat them nine out of ten
If TN played Wyoming 10 times then they would beat them 9 out of 10
If Alabama played Utah 10 times then they would beat Utah 9 out of 10.
A blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.

Utah smoked Alabama!
Ole Miss beat Florida in the Swamp!

UT has talent greater than both Utah and Ole Miss!

Yet...there are nay sayers that have given Alabama and Florida the wins over UT. I say we can beat em and beat em both this year. It's not impossible.

There is a change in culture now. Phil Fulmer use to coach the team to play its best as the underdog (even as underdogs we would get smoked). We have a coaching staff that has won a Super Bowl, MULTIPLE National Chamionships, NFC Championships, SEC championships, PAC 10 conference Championships, Big East, Big 10. We have a staff that has been to the mountain, and then been back up to the mountain, and then been back up to the mountain. We have a staff that have coached up Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown, Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Matt Leinhart, Warren Sapp, Drew Brees, and many others...some of the best talent playing today in the NFL, and some of the best college football players to play in the modern era. We have the best damn coaching staff in America.

Come on guys have some faith. We can do better than four or five losses. Our coashing staff I am SURE is expecting more than that.

We still have players that were hailed as some of the best recruits in the country. They were never coached up. We might not have the depth that FLorida has. But if we get the chemistry right, the attitudes right, the coaching right, the intensity right...yes, we can do very well.

If lowly Utah can beat Alabama, if scrummy Ole Miss can beat the defending National Champions in the Swamp..hell if lowly Wyoming and UCLA can beat a once proud SEC team. Who is to say that our team can't turn it around in a year? New Era guys requires New Thinking. :dance2:

Dang now I'm pumped up you got me drinking the kool-aid now, cant wait till fall

Utah beat a very apathetic Bama team but, even if Bama was playing their best that night, I think that Utah would still win. Living in NOLA, I went to this game and I was very impressed by how Utah acted in warmups, pre-game drills, etc. They were jacked. Alabama look arogant and bloated.

As for the Ole Miss remark, Coach O left talent behind and a dominating OL. UT may have comparable overall talent but not in the OL. Both OM and Bama showed that a vert talented OL can carry a team far in the SEC.

Is there a chance that we can beat any team we play? Of course there is, upsets happen all the time. But there's something that you have to understand, we'll be underdogs for a reason. Yes it can happen, but it's improbable. Be excited for the recruiting class, the coaching staff, and the new direction of the program. That's great and I think everyone should think that way. What worries me is that some of you are EXPECTING great things next year, instead of just hoping for them. You have to temper your optimism. If this coaching staff can go from a 5-7 team that was lacking discipline and team chemistry and turn them into a 7-5 team that plays hard and is every game then that's a huge improvement from last year. If you're expecting a 10 win season and will be disappointed with anything else, then you're setting the coaching staff up for undeserved criticism. I don't want you spiked kool-aid drinkers to be back in here next year after a 7-5 season screaming for a coaching change because you expected a 10 win season. So just try to keep things in perspective.

Great post. 7-5 is very realistic and I'm hoping that we don't have a fan meltdown when we aren't winning every game. We have to give it time, it will be painful and frustrating, but patience is key.

The staff has done so much to excite me thus far, I already feel like we've won games.

I will be just as happy to see progress in the over all in the process of getting better.if we can look like a real football team that can actually look like they have a clue to whats going on.ill be satisfied this year.if we lose a few so be it but not lose because we cant run the plays.or laugh about it when we are getting our buts kicked.

Our new staff had better not change pre-game a bit.

I still don't think Ole Miss has more talent than us. They don't. We are not very deep in some positions, like OL. Our starters if coached well can get the job done.

Rember last year? Our O-line was suppose to be our strongest position. We returned a line that led the nation in pass protection. They were going to be dominant. That was not the case at all! Remember our questions about our D Line? We supposedly lacked depth and that was going to be our weakest position or a position of great concern. Well the season ended up quite differently, now didn't it? 3rd best defense in the country with the 4th worst offense in the country. It all boils down to COACHING!

We have some damn good coaches this year, and they have some talent to work with. Yes our talent is better than Ole Miss. Bottom line is I don't really care for the "well if this team played that team 10 times they should beat them 8 times." Can't take the wins away from those underdogs, and from what I saw of the Utah/Alabama game...it wasn't close. Utah DOMINATED Alabama. Alabama was outplayed, out hustled, out coached, out everything. If you can't pump up your team to play in the largest bowl your team has been to in 10 years (I'm talking about Alabama here) then you have failed as a coach.

Ummmm, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you think that UF gets the same pleasure beating OM as it does beating us, you should check yourself. I would love to come back and eat crow 6 months from now, but I just cant see a team with a mediocre QB, and serviceable at best OL beat a Florida team that will play at it's best. No matter who's coaching us.

But man, oh man, do I wanna be so so so so so wrong.
