Pay the Titans to play Peyton's first game as a Titan in Neyland! and wear a custom orange jersey! Peyton can have his old number back as well.

I'm sure the other Titans who have no connection to UT, or worse, played for a key rival of UT's in college would just love to wear orange and play in Neyland.......uh, no

joking and orange jerseys aside i've always been kind of surprised that the titans never did a game in neyland before to try and build up the east tennessee fan base. I guess its too much of a revenue loss

redskins with shuler vs. Buffalo (maybe?) IIrc in a preseason game played in neyland

actually it was the Redskins against.......the then Houston Oilers. That's right, the same Oilers that just a few years later packed up and moved northeast

Seriously, how often does a pro team play in a college stadium?

Until about 10 years ago, NFL teams would regularly play preseason games in college stadiums to drive up revenues. That practice stopped when teams started making preseason games a mandatory part of season ticket packages.

Definitely not a lot of professionalism going around in Atlanta in the 1980s. :)

Peyton tried to wear an orange jersey during the a pre- season game against the Titans several years ago. Jim Mora said no. I believe that's correct, my memory is fuzzy on the details.

When soldier field was being renovated, the bears played at university of Illinois. AZ Cardinals played at Sun Devil stadium forever until a few years ago. Vikings played at new University of Minn. stadium when the roof collapsed.

The Titans played at Vandy, and I went to a Panthers game at Clemson.

these two along with the Bears all played at a college stadium while their stadiums were being built or renovated.

Titans played at Vandy because playing in Memphis didnt work out well.

I fail to see how this is a bad idea. Sure, it's not going to happen, but the Titans would make bank on ticket revenue as it would easily sell out and the UTAD would make money on tickes/concessions/parking or however the deal would be drawn up.

Vols fans would go crazy to see Manning play in Neyland again and there are plenty of Titans fans in East TN for support as well.
