UTAD having a yard sale

Thank you for posting. I was going to take my son down there. He really wanted a helmet and/or jersey and maybe a basketball or football. We got tied up and he has homework to do. Did the jerseys have players' names? Were there any balls for sale? I was going to maybe wait until my wife gets home from work and then maybe drive down without him for a Christnas present...those prices are pretty steep. Vol fans are accustomed to paying a premium though so I'm not surprised.

edited: one more question please, how crowded? Think I can get in and out if I went at 7?

@a vol n tears
They are not allowed to keep the players names on the jersey per NCAA rules but you do see some from time to time that get through the system or belonged to players or family members and they sell them later...The prices are steep for game used jerseys.

Thanks for the replies, I ended up not going. I'd be curious to hear from others who attended and what kind of cool stuff they may have gotten. I wonder if the unsold stuff will make it's way to a campus store. I remember when I was a student in the early and mid 90's they had a cardboard box of used practice and game jerseys for sale at one of the stores on campus. I think they were maybe $40 or $50 each. I didn't buy one but I remember seeing them. If I could go back in time I wouldn't buy a jersey but I would go down to the "The Last Lap" bar and buy all the t-shirts they had...the lap and the library were the bars where I grew up :) the good old days...

I got a pair of orange and white cleats with the checkerboard bottom. Well worth 30$ and to me the jerseys and helmets weren't all that special.

I was happy with what I got.... 2 pairs of shoes, 2 dri fit shirts, 2 shorts, 1 beanie, 4 socks for $160
I thought $300 for a helmet was insane imo.

Last year they sold a lot of the old Adidas game-used jerseys for pretty cheap in the bookstore on game weekends... Maybe they will do the same with whatever is left over

only thing that really sounds like it was that good of a buy was the cleats. thanks for reporting back on prices. the helmets and jerseys sound like they were almost MSRP
