3 of our top 4 receivers this season were top rated receivers coming out of high school. All I hear though is concern about our receivers coming into this season.
Have you actually paid attention to our WR play the past two seasons? I am not worried about the talent. I am worried about the coaching.

Per Wiltfong
Playing both ways in the SEC is just non sense and players thinking they can do it is going to cause a lot of problems in their development going forward if it becomes a trend. There’s too many SEC teams with NFL talent on the perimeter on both sides of the ball. Travis Hunter landed in the ideal spot to do it because defense is the Big 12 is non existent. It was ok for him to get burnt as long as he made a big play on the ball once or twice a game. In the SEC competing for conference and national championships that’s not good enough though

I guess Heupel and Boo Carter disagree with ya. What a shocker

Champ Bailey. Honey Badger.
Tyran Mathieu didn’t play receiver full time either, neither did Champ Bailey. Neither of those guys were looked at as players with WR1 and CB1 potential for NFL scouts either. They were drafted to play defense. Players aren’t wanting to be the next Adoree Jackson or Ray Ray McCloud and catch maybe 10-20 passes a season. They want to be the next Travis Hunter and catch 100 balls for 1000 yards and 10 TDs and be a starter on defense, and that’s not happening in the SEC. Especially as deep as it is now
