Moa is a versatile athlete, who could play on either side of the ball. Kelsey Pope has been the one recruiting him as the Vols like him at wide receiver coming out of high school.

“Salesi Moa is one of the most versatile playmakers on either side of the ball in the country,” Cody Bellaire – Rivals National Scout said. “His dominant ball skills and movement patterns show up as a receiver on offense and in the secondary as a defensive player. Moa is smooth and intentional with his movements. The way he glides on the football field is impressive, covering grass effortlessly as a center fielder on defense and as a route runner. Plus, he has strong hands and attacks the football. His ability to high point the football and catch it away from his frame comes in handy on either side of the field. Moa’s combination of top-tier athletic ability and ball skills makes him a weapon no matter what side of the line of scrimmage he lines up on.”

Moa is a dual threat which is also what makes him so attractive to land according to On3 National recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong.
“He is a terrific two-way player, an alpha competitor that has the traits to be dominant on both sides of the ball,” Wiltfong said. “Whether he’s on offense or defense, he’s attacking the football. Good size, explosive ability, in events where the best players in the country were competing he was always one of the best on the field. An outstanding pickup and someone I expect to be one of the best players for the Vols by year two in Knoxville.”

What’s next?

Tennessee continues pursue LSU commit Tristen Keys. The Vols now have three wide receivers committed as Moa joins Tyreek King and Legend Bey. Keys would be the highest ranked wide receiver to commit to Tennessee in the Josh Heupel era and over the last 25 years. Keys has continued to reiterate that he will take visits this fall as Tennessee, Texas A&M and Miami push to flip him from the Tigers. Tennessee currently only has seven scholarship wide receivers on their roster and is looking to add to their impressive receiver class from 2025.
