UT wins at the swamp, if.......

You understand that the Florida offense was nothing more than Mediocre for the first 5 games of the season in 2008 right?

If Tennessee had played Florida in Week 10 it would have been a horrible massacre. As it was, even with the offense sputtering around in futility, UF still won by 24.

Tennessee should keep this game close. I think Kiffin is smart, and I think he knows that if he can win this game, it will jump start his entire rebuilding effort. Therefore, I expect Tennessee to really come out like this is the championship of the universe. But I still think UF will win.

Here's one big difference a year makes.

When playing Florida, Fulmer always seemed (to me, anyway) to play not to lose instead of playing to win.

I don't think Kiffin takes this approach. And if I'm correct in this, it could make a big difference in the game.

I would be thrilled to see a game like the Canes and Noles had last night when we play the Gators. That would be awesome for our team the SEC and our fans. Anything is possible but I do not think we have the depth and talent just yet to do so. We are a few injuries away from a catastrophe on the O line.

If we out rush UF, we will likely win the game. That's the way this series has pretty much always gone. The team with more rushing yards generally wins.

+1

Although this might change with a new coach in charge over there.

Eh, it's prety much been the same even when Spurrier and Zook was your head coach I believe. I don't really see why it's change now.

Plus, that's kinda the general rule of football anyways isn't it? I know in the NFL, the team that wins the ground battle wins more than 60 percent of the time I believe. In high school the same was generally true for me. I know whenever we out rushed the other team we won almost every time.

Last year Ole Miss blitzed almost every down on Tebow and stayed in zone coverage, preventing anything deep...it worked well enough. I don't mind leavin EB and Rogan back there...Nick Reveiz just needs to 'get big' and rock anybody comin over on the short slants. Still, I think turnovers are gonna be the key to this game. I am doubting C. UM and Tebow are gonna throw in Berry's direction at all, so maybe we should have him cover 3 people at once. That leaves everyone to focus on knockin Timmy around a bit. If he decides to win it all on his own, it'll play into our hand. (We know he's gonna get it most of the time, with Percy gone to the Vikings.) Last week, CSU only had one player that they said was in the same speed category as the Gators--we won't be at the same disadvantage. So....let's blitz the whole game, be big, and make everyone fast.

They came out and fumbled 4 times and threw a pick.

If they come out like that they'll get blasted. We aren't WKU.

Haha, Troy, a team that lost to Bowling Green & the Clawfence last weekend. I think we have a bit more of a challenge in UCLA.

That being said. This is a message board & it doesn't make an ounce of difference what game we talk about or when we talk about it as long as we want to talk about it. Capiche?
