Agreed. Time it however you want, but when the "T" opens, the Vols should bust out.

Very minor point, but a major piece of Vol tradition.

Majors used to keep them quite awhile after the T opened. Besides, it should be up to them how they do it, not us.

something i have noticed watching all other games today is that there is at least one or two busted players, missed assignments, lined up wrong, etc...

UT had none of that today. Very well prepared and I love that about this new era of UT Football.

Any chance that perhaps Kiff was holding back something for UCLA next week. You know with his history with UCLA (from his USC days) and how we handed that game away last year that there is some motivation for next week.

Yes, there was nothing over the top. Kiffin used about 40 % of the playbook in my opinion. He probably used a lot of the rushing plays they will use throughout, but held back on the areal assault.

I think watching all the players jump around in the tunnel and holding them for a minute only built the anticipation and excitement.

Too many turnovers but I'm hoping that's just first game jitters. Rushing game looked solid and I liked how Kiffin gave the ball to the freshmen when we got close to the goal line, let them taste the endzone. Crompton looked good too, you can't blame him for the int's those balls should have been caught.. Can't wait till next Sat, Bring it UCLA.

Crompton will be okay. His confidence grew from the first touch down. They will work out the kincks with the tipped passes. One thing is for sure, this staff can coach. The first quarter was a typical first quarter. The crowd was electric and John fed off of it.
