Well, it’s an 8-game conference schedule, so SEC teams get 4 non-conference games a year...and they’re clearly including bowl games in this count.

So after the OU game in 2015, that’s Western Carolina, North Texas. and Northwestern. Then in 2016: Appalachian State, Virginia Tech, Ohio, Tennessee Tech, and Nebraska. And finally in 2017: Georgia Tech, Indiana St, UMass, and Southern Miss.

Time flies when you’re winning games of no consequence....

It will all depend on where you sit. We went to the Belk kickoff game last year, it was at 3. We probably spent an hour in the sun. Opposite of us..they spent the entire game in the sun.

Tennessee is the home team and the school's seating area will be south sideline and west end zone.

thanks for the info! will be good to see the Vols and their new Coach, I
know they won't be favored by many, and I've liked the Mountaineers football
program since the 90's but always a Vol fan first - been that way for 50 yrs. I pull
for the Tarheels here in NC but will always pull for the Vols in football & basketball:)
regardless of who they play

I expect a lot of WVA fans at this one as well. WVA and UT used to both have their football viewing parties at Dilworth Bar & Grille, and they always put WVA in the largest room, even when our games were at the same time.

We used to party pretty good at Dilworth. Bad Daddy’s Burger were pretty solid too.

Yeah got my tix today. West end zone.

Going with another family, good friends, wvu fans.

They don't know that we're on the UT side.:)

Should be a lot of fun.

330 CBS is the premier slot for the SEC

Actually, it differs in the first two weeks. CBS having first selection for TV broadcasts doesn’t kick in until week 3 (the contract providing the rules regarding selection order was written when CBS still had the rights for airing the US Open, and thus didn’t really concern any priority selection for the first two weeks).

For the first two weekends of the season, ESPN actually gets the first selection regarding SEC games; CBS pretty much has to buy a game that ESPN is willing to part with during those weeks and can then air it.

For all going to the game, be careful around WV fans and don't provoke or engage them. They're known for throwing batteries, which is impressive in a way considering that for many West Virginians, batteries are essential for survival.

Haha ya he’s going to tell us exactly what they are going to do? Cmon Dana. A tiger doesn’t change its stripes.

They may be the only team we play that had a worst Defense than we did last yr. Not sure it will matter what they play on defense. No reason not to outscore them. They also love turning it over offensively too, which should help steal a few possession's if that continues.

I love afternoon games. That said, I remember that past couple of years in the first games of the season and we would struggle, much being said about "not opening up the playbook".
Assuming that was the case, I wonder if Coach Pruitt will take that approach. I can imagine a team the level of Alabama being able to play conservatively. But, a team with a new coach and a few holes in the team on both sides of the ball - can we afford not to "open up the playbook"? Will CJP be a conservative strategerizer? I sure hope not.

Only upper level seats left. A few in very low rows however, but they say "obstructed view"
