Now that UK won! If we win (and Arky beats LSU):

East Conf All
Florida (1) 8-0 11-0 (vs. FSU)
Tennessee 4-4 5-5
Georgia 4-4 6-5 (vs. GT)
South Carolina 3-5 6-5 (vs. clemson)
Kentucky 3-5 7-5
Vanderbilt 0-8 2-10

West Conf All
Alabama (2) 7-0 11-0 (vs. Aub)
Mississippi 4-3 8-3 (vs. MSU)
LSU (10) 4-4 8-4
Arkansas 4-4 8-4
Auburn 3-4 7-4 (vs. Bama)
Mississippi State 2-5 4-7 (vs. Ole Miss)

If we win and LSU loses, we are #2 in the East, and bowls go:
NC: Bama/UF (assuming FSU/Aub wins)
Sugar: Bama/UF
Cotton: Ole Miss
Citrus: LSU (8-4) vs. Arky (8-4) vs. Vols (7-5 East Conference)

Is Citrus bowl a possibility? I think they definitely take LSU at 9-3, but at 8-4? We'd be within 1 game and draw a huge crowd.

Thoughts?

If that does play out ( Vols win, lsu losses) the best case scenario is between the Outback Bowl and Chick-Fi-La Bowls for Tennessee.

The Capital One Bowl is just not going to take a 5 loss team.

Why would we go over Ole Miss to the Capital One bowl?

I have read on here that Cotton bowl gets first pick of teams from the West. They would certainly want Ole Miss, right?

If teams are within 1 win of each other, I think the bowl can choose who they want after that.

ps. If we beat UK we will also go 4-1 in the SECE this year, which is huge.

I just hope we don't play Wisconsin because that was the single most boring football game ever two years ago.

If miss st beats ole miss and vols beat Kentucky then I think we get cotton bowl. Slim shot but who knows!

If I close my eyes I can still see Mayo swarming around on defense in that Outback Bowl. I like the idea of the chicken bowl given our record. I'd rather see a game at night, just not in Nashville or Memphis or even the Birmingham ghetto in the day.

I think it's possible the Peach offers us a bid this week to prevent the Outback bowl from taking us.

What we want to happen is for LSU to now beat Arky (and us to beat Kentucky).
If that happens, Ole Miss will go to the Capital One Bowl, LSU will go to the Cotton Bowl, and the Outback Bowl will give us their bid. That's about as big of a lock as possible.
