Looks like if we end up the 1st or 2nd seed in the tourney, we would still likely be playing a West team, either Aubie, Miss St., Bama, or Ole Miss (since the West #3 and #4 seeds would either have to beat Vandy or Georgia). Lets just say I am really hoping for a Vandy or UGA upset of the West team in our bracket, because we need a tourney win if we're going to have a chance at a winable match-up in the NCAA tourney. I just don't think we match up well with teams in the West.

We beat MSU, lost to Auburn and Ole Miss in horribly played games, and played close with LSU.

Granted, Ole Miss stomped us, but I feel like the only team we wouldn't have a 50% chance or better against would be UK.

Ridiculous but very true. We just don't play well against them at all.

We just plain suck in the SEC tourney historically anyway no matter who we play, but I think the only teams that should beat us more than 5/10 times on a neutral court are LSU and KY, neither of which we would see in the SEC tourney were we the 1 seed in the East.

That's usually in the GA Dome

The only team I'm afraid of playing in the SEC is Kentucky. With the matchups and crowd being in their favor, it likely would not play out well for Tennessee.

The crowd's won't be as pro UK as in Atl, since it's in Tampa this year.

Yeah it will not be as bad as it usually, but I think they will still be in the vast majority, as I doubt Florida fans care about basketball.

Do we even forsee very good crowds at all for the event?

With Arkansas and KY neither being very good this year and FL fans not really caring about basketball, I would say no not really. I am ready for it to come back to the Sommet Center in Nashville, I enjoyed it there.

Tampa is a tremendous travel destination in early Spring. There will be a large Gator crowd, but hopefully we can mount a decent showing, as well. FYI: Allegiant Air has flights to the smaller St. Pete airport for cheap. A friend of mine just flew here and back for $49 each way. Unforseen circumstances at work make it impossible for me to travel, but I'd go in a heartbeat if I could.

How far is Tampa from Atlanta? I know there's a good amount of Vols from Florida, but if it's within driving distance from Atl., we could see something.
