UT vs PENN ST. Who wins and why?

20-10

I've printed this off, and saved it to look back, when I need a good laugh.

20-10

Reading through all of these pre-game predictions, the score should have been 70-0 Tennessee. Every single part of PSU was under-rated by the people in this thread, from the O-line to the secondary, to the quarterback, to the coach. No credit given anywhere.

20-10

Now, that you have lost, you resort to name-calling and blame-throwing. No one is giving any credit to the fact that Morelli, the O-line, d-backs, linebackers, coach - every one of them was better than anyone here gave them credit for before or after the game. In fact, PSU is a better team than Tennessee.

20-10

Now people are going to say I've got no class for coming into this forum and kicking a team when they're down, but when y'all get some class and give some credit when credit is due, I'll shut up. The closest anyone has come is MyBlood congratulating JoePaPwnSut.

20-10

Congratulations on the win . . . You're lame for seeking out this board and posting AFTER the game . . . but congratulations on a well deserved victory.

Congrats on your win.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy today amongst what normally is a sea of orange.

I wouldn't feel bad either way that game would have turned out. It was a hard fought game that could have ended with either team on top. Tennessee will be back on top next year, they have a great core talent and excellent youth coming in. I would say something about your coaching, but I'll save it, content in knowing that I didn't start a flame war! :)

...and for that show of class, you have my gratitude. Nice win yesterday.

Plus, let me add that Penn State underachieved all season mainly because the offense stuttered constantly under Morelli's bad decision making and some bone-headed offensive calls from the coaching staff. I'm very pleased with the way we played against a very good Tennessee team, hopefully we saw the evolution of Morelli into a solid QB and our coaching staff will get the offensive unit clicking. We have the talent, just really spotty.

It was pretty evident that they were still protecting Morelli from a playcalling standpoint. It's not hard to imagine Penn State being much better offensively in the next couple of years.

Thanks for that as well. I came here today because I was born in Tennessee, went to PSU for graduate studies and now I'm back in Tennesee. I have family that are UT grads so the Orange & White is still in my blood to some extent.

What can I say, I have to be different. :dance2:

First of all, thanks.

You're right, it is probably lame of me to do this, but you can check on PSU boards, that I was faithful and believed in PSU even before the game.

I also did this because I live in TN, and have taken an enormous load of crap from the orange and white faithful, so I wanted to see what people were saying. When I saw what they were saying, and what they were NOT giving credit for, I just had to say something.

that wasn't me. check thru all of my posts... i dont mention that game... i think that UT could've easily won it... it was tight until the end. UT should have beaten ND -- they had so much more talent.

that being said, Notre Dame would've beaten UT this year by 34 points, since the Irish beat PSU by 24 and PSU beat UT by 10. =D just a joke... don't come out of the woodworks now, vol fans

i know that...

i was just giving input to my thoughts. i gave UT props since it was a closer game than the score indicated.

I think UT would make it closer than that. I think either UT would win on a fluke play like the Arian Foster fumble yesterday, or Notre Dame would win by 3-7 points.
