We beat Cincy by 22 and NCSU lost by 30.

Ohhh wow! My bad I just checked 5dimes and it did go down to -3 1/2 that is great load up on tennessee!...I've been checking the last 3 weeks and it stayed around 7 1/2 and most saw it go down was 6 1/2....they must be a lot being put on nc state side...

Check common opponents instead of 2 totally unrelated games.

Common opponent games should never be used, when trying to come up with a point spread. Don't even use them to pick a winner. They mean close to nothing.

I agree with you, and I said that in my post. But this early before the season its possible they move a line for reasons other than where the money has gone so far.

7 points was a little high. -3 is probably about right. Tennessee definitely has more talent, but this game has too many variables to have anyone as more than a field goal favorite.

Dropping from -7 to -3 doesn't sound promising to me. I still think we are gonna win, but that means either all the early money was on NCST or Vegas has re-evaluated the game/UT and decided we aren't as good as they thought.

I love being the underdog.
IMHO, when UT is the underdog, it helps motivate this team to show up at the field ready to play. That is also because for the most part, the core of this team were not healthy because when this UT team hits 88 miles per hour this year, the Nation will see some serious sh't.
