This conversation came up for a very short time on a local (Memphis) sports talk show. They were debating if MTSU was the best team in the state. They also said, like others in this thread, that is the QB is not playing, the answer is easy.

O.k. so never ever is a little bit of a stretch. However, I will say that we have removed the coach at fault for two of those, who's teams had a tendency to underperform in games against "nobody" teams - like Wyoming and Memphis.

Anything is possible on any Saturday in the fall, even for the patsies. I guess I should have said 99.9999999999% chance they would not beat us. My bad.

Stockstill > Dooley, Dasher > Any QB UT has ever had other than peyton, and MTSU is going to be in the Big East in the near future, so just dont be suprised when they are ranked higher more than UT will be over the next decade

no i am a UT fan, its just obvious that MTSU is good and Dooley is the biggest joke ever , Kiffin brought the most attention to UT since 1998 and now its all gone and in the hands of dooley lol what a joke

MTSU is still a Sun Belt team. Who did they beat of significance last year? A horrible Maryland team who can't get out of the ACC cellar? And they lost to a Mississippi State team who was 3-5 in the weaker SEC division

Oh and they got murdered by a Troy team that went 9-4 in the Sun Belt. While MTSU might be "good for a Sun Belt team", they're still a Sun Belt team.

MTSU lost to Miss. St by 3 touchdowns at home last year...I was there suffering through it. I'm a fan, but that's not what I call handling anything.

It is pointless to carry on conversations with fans of teams that UT beats the sh!t out of year in and year out (even when having our worst season in years)...just save your breath for someone who can hold an intelligent conversation about a sport that they actually know about...

I almost always stay out of this stuff, but you're either trying to be reactionary and stir people up or you just don't know anything about football. Either way, it's annoying.
