Agreed, I think that will be the best game of the year in basketball. It's should be nonstop action. I can't believe one post about a Memphis game against UTM has made it this far and throught this many topics!

I also think OU will give Memphis a little trouble. Dorsey will be back for the Tigers so it will be interesting seeing them at full force and against a formidable foe. The way to beat Memphis is through the post, you get Dorsey in foul trouble(shouldn't be too hard:)) and the flood gates open down there.

Should be a fun year gentlemen! Sit back and enjoy the show!

Jay Bilas said it that this game will be the non-conf game of the year, possibly biggest game of the year, and could possibly turn into the Duke-UNC rival.

I am predicting that the winner of this one, gets a #1 seed in the tourn.

I'd like to see how much a scalper comes home with that night.

If both teams are ranked in the top 5, could be. We're excited about it now, for sure, b/c on paper it looks like a pretty even matchup.

Don't think that a UT/UM game could ever turn into the rivarly of Duke/UNC....In order for that to happen UM needs to join the SEC and both teams would have to start frequently going to the Final Four with a National Championship or 3 in there as well....

Awaiting patientally for Getyourpopcornreadys post: of how UT is the best team in the nation and that I should just go away because I like Duke...

Hes also a Duke grad that licks the sweat off of Roy Williams (basketball's) any chance that he can get...UT/UM will never be the great rivalry because of the conference thing...think about it

UT-Bama (SEC)
Yankees-Red Sox (Same Division)
UF-UGA (SEC)
USC-CAl/UCLA (PAC-10)
Duke-UNC (ACC)

They would need to play eachother more than once a year and have that chance to meet again in a tournament game...You want my opinion send the hogs to the Big 12 and bring Memphis in the SEC..

The potential for the rivalry is there, but the with conference thing it wont allow it...just mo..

UT-Alabama is the 2nd best rivalry in the SEC, not #1. UF-UGA is like #4 or 5.

USC-Cal is nothing. USC-UCLA is good.
