UT vs Florida line (merged)

I don't know, I was just thinking UCLA scored 19 on us with 4 field goals. If playing Florida those FG's are probably TDs. There's 28 points right there. But then I'm like hell no they cant do that to our D, heart kicks in.

I'm just going to leave it alone because what a double whammy it would be to lose money and lose to the team I despise most.

Bet on UT. If you lose it's only money. If UF don't cover spread, but still win, it's not a total loss. Your heart may be broken, but your wallet gets a little fatter.

Smart man. There's chance some of us will be suicidal after Saturday, why up the ante? I'm just going to drink... Starting very, very early.

You better tease it plus 10 if 28 plus before you take TN. That way you have 38 to work with. Otherwise it is a real gamble with JC at the helm.

Just gonna have to take this one and keeping moving. No matter what happens, the program is headed back in the right direction. That being said, I hope they at least leave the field knowing they played a game.

While we'll probably have a hard time scoring points, we can still knock their dicks in the dirt.

Every year I bet on the Vols and lose my :shaking2: and I swear that I'll never do it again.

And every year... I do it again.

The spread has increased again today. Currently, UF -29.5. They're loading up on the Gators... a little more and I may not be able to stay out of this one.

I got 33 points the other day in a couple of bets. Monte K will come up with something to keep it under the spread.

I wonder about Monte versus a spread option attack like UF's. Does he have any experience defending against it? Remember not long ago when Lane was saying UT's D is good against NFL-style offenses, but is untested against "college stuff"? Tebow's dual threat capabilities and the number of speedy skill players WRs/RBs UF can put on the field at once is extremely tough to match up with. Plus, I've got a hunch that UF might come out of the gate running at a no huddle two-minute drill pace, like Utah did to Bama. Just another way of putting pressure on the defense. Even if UT's defense is up to the task of going toe-to-toe with UF's offense, that will still be hard to do if UT's offense can't effectively help keep UF's offense off the field.

I didn't get to see the entire UT/UCLA game, but I saw a fair amount of it flipping channels among games and saw the final few minutes twice more on ESPN's new Crunch Time show. I'm not trying to be insulting, but Crompton just looked totally inept. And like some of you guys have said, it seems that if Stephens was any better CLK would be playing him instead of JC. I think UF is going to load the box very heavily -- and may thus contain Hardesty and Brown well enough to force UT to let Crompton throw the ball more than CLK would like to. As a result, I'm afraid there will be some costly turnovers for UT.

Again, I'm not trying to be insulting to UT, but I do think UF will cover the 28.5 spread. Before the UCLA game I might have thought otherwise. UT needs a decent QB in the worst way. The lack of one, combined with going against everything UF brings to the dance, makes this game look like a "perfect storm" situation to me -- in UF's favor.

Good luck. I think the Vols are going to need a lot of it Saturday.

The oddsmakers have opened this week's game with Florida being favored by a whopping 29.5 points over the Volunteers of Tennessee.

Can anyone remember the last time Tennessee has been that big of an underdog? Does anyone take Florida and lay the 29.5?
