UT vs. Alabama Yearly Game in Jeopardy (if Auburn moves to East)

Surely the tradition of this game cannot be overlooked. That is one of the biggest games all season on a national scale. It may not be so hot right now due to our near irrelevance but still.......It is the 3rd Frikin Saturday in October!

None of that tradition you speak of matters even one iota when you take into account all the $$$$ that is on the line here. The game will happily be sacrificed if doing so lines the athletic departments pockets with a little extra cash.

Being in KY, I'd love to get Louisville in the SEC.
Their facilities are far and away better than Kentucky.
They have a great basketball program, football has been to a BCS bowl in the last 8 years.

Louisville's biggest issue in joining the SEC would be NOT selling alcohol at their games.

The thing is, due to Bama's probation and turmoil and our irrelevance lately, the game just hasn't meant much nationally since the mid 90s.

Things change, and always will, but people don't like change and usually resist it. I think it would be an interesting shift of an annual game, but Missouri, really??

They can't and shouldn't touch the bama game. That's like telling someone to give up breathing. You just can't do it. If adding Mizzou to the league means losing bama on our schedule, I vote for VaTech or Maryland. Clemson....heck put anyone in the east. Just let us keep bama.

It would suck not to play Bama every year but it'd be good for the program. Missouri is a much more manageable game as long as the Tide has Saban. Playing Mizzou every year would give us a leg up on other SEC schools in recruiting STL and KC.

I hate bama as much as anybody but why should we play them and fl every year? Does anybody else?

Louisville isn't even close to SEC caliber...They play in a stadium smaller than some high schools....Let them go to the sun belt or Mac where they can compete.

I just can't even fathom not playing Alabama every year....This is the ONE game I live for every year.

why play all the teams in your division? Rotate all teams, not just divisional teams to keep all the rivalries. UT-Alabama will never go away.
