Most of my friends believe that Kentucky will smash us. I tend to disagree.

I think that Chavis amps up the pressure on Woodson, using miltiple blitz packages to keep UK guessing. By using the running game, Cutcliffe shortens the game and wears down the UK defense. Once again special teams will play a huge role in the ballgame. I believe Tennessee wins the ST battle.

UT 27
UK 24

For some reason I have a good feeling about this game, like the Arky game....I think we run away with it

Tennessee-35

Kentucky-17

There's a lot on the line for both teams. We are all well aware of the two turns this season could take on Saturday for UT. Well, 8-4 with wins over LSU and UT would be a smashing success for UK. 7-5 and a return trip to the Music City Bowl after being 6-1 and ranked in the Top 10 would be a huge disappointment, even for UK fans. I'm not making a prediction. I hope 895 is right. I want to win, and I don't want to sweat too much, but I'll take any win.

In the words of our beloved Lee Corso, "Tennessee, by closer than the experts think."

Kentucky 27-24.

Lones Seiber, Knoxville native, Kentucky kicker, bounces one through the uprights as time expires to break the streak.

I'm a Tennesse fan but in all honesty, I think we will lose. I'm telling you I just have that feeling. KY is going to play hungry. Much has been made about "the streak" in the media and I know that Kentucky wants to end it badly. Also, we have not done well against teams that spread the field. We have too much trouble getting to the qb and good qb's (hell, even average qb's) expose our weaknesses on defense. Woodson will have a huge day.

Add to the fact that it's in Lexington and we have not been a very good road team all year. We will lose and I don't think it will be by 1 or 2 points.

still not going to make a prediction........

but if we don't put pressure on Woodson, it could be a long day. i think at this point in the season though, after 11 games, both teams should be fairly well prepared for this game.

KY's defense isn't great, but it's no worse than ours, so i expect them to make some plays as well.

i look for more keep away, really trying to test the middle of that def, and let the O Line lean on their defense for another good 2nd half performance. to do that though, you have to protect the ball and not let the game get away from you. I expect KY to go for the throat early, test our secondary, and get rid of the ball quickly. if they get up by 2 or more TD's early, it could take us out of our comfort zone and put the pressure on our D. both of these teams have a knack for doing well when the start off well.

Neither team will panic if they get behind either.

i think this is a close game either way.....we need to be good on 3rd down on both sides of hte ball, and special teams simply cannot allow big returns, and i'm hoping for a little extra from Rogan this weekend......maybe he finds his way to the end zone?

i dont' think this will be a boring game at all............

Go Vols!

I agree with you. The key will be our ability to rush Woodson. If he is able to stand back there with no (or little) rush, he will pick our secondary to pieces. If that happens and they get a couple of TDs ahead it could get ugly. If KY were to take a lead on UT like that, I think we will be in trouble unless they decide to go into an offensive shell like Vandy did last Saturday.

I'm sure Kentucky will put some points up just as they did with Lorenzon(sp). I saw the Vols play against him in Knoxville and he could score just Kentucky's defense stunk. I predict same old Kentucky, too much psychology for them to overcome.

Tennessee 70
Kentucky 21
