Why do you think our fans' answer to everything is "F U ________"?
At the game, there was a time where one of our players was injured. All of a sudden, you could hear a chant of "Ala - Bama".
Now I do agree this is 100% classless, but why must we lower ourselves below them? Responding with "F U Bama" just makes us look like jackasses. Does anybody else think a BOO to that is perfectly fitting?

I was sitting in the middle of the section that was chanting Ala-Bama. They quieted down pretty quick after someone shouted at them about "showing some class" or whatever.

Nothing new there, they were saying F you to the gators back in 92. Students are students.

We need a cool chant like Rammer Jammer.

Whatever. I hate alabama and all their stupid chants.

i know exactly what you are talking about and I was sitting in TT and i could not hear the F U Bama but the Boo's did start up rather quickly and I agree that was classless the chear while our guy was on the field hurt.

We did not know there was an injured player. Once we heard and saw a player was hurt we stopped. Even though we may not like UT we respect the players on the field and never want to see a player hurt.

By the way, I had a wonderful trip to K'ville and want to let you know that I was treated with great respect.

Roll Tide.

Could you not see the field? That chant started after he had been on the ground for at least 2-3 minutes

glad you had a good time.

so it's just coincidental that the last 2 times you guys were at Neyland the same chant started while we had injured players down?

Do not know, was not at last game there, I was in Iraq. So I can not help you on that one. And to answer the question of another post, yes we could see the field, but did not know anyone was hurt. As we all know all teams have fans that could care less but as for the ones I was with, one actually said a prayer for the player, my friend is a preacher.
