UT Staff Gets Shirtless to Impress Recruits!

tn has a rich tradition and history, however, clk is using silly gimmicks to motivate future recruits...i'm saying it may be cute but to me it is insufficient.
Dude, who cares what is sufficient to you or insufficient? Unless you are being recruited by Kiffin and company then I'm almost positive that your opinion isn't worth a dang. But you are entitled to your opinion(even though it is insufficient). From reading the recruits comments, they loved it so I say it worked pretty well. First post on the nation felt good lol. I can't wait till the wild boys hit the field!

around 10 Tennessee players, including All-America defensive back Eric Berry of Atlanta and quarterback Jonathan Crompton, ran down from behind the recruits to meet the coaches on the floor. “Eric and the rest of the players were chanting ‘U-T, wild boys … U-T, wild boys … U-T wild boys.’”

Not to change the subject, but the fact that Jonathan Crompton is playing such a key role in the recruiting efforts, makes it look like Kiffin may be leaning towards Crompton as the starting QB. I remember reading that Kiffin recruited hard for Crompton to come to USC.

The init dude is probably a bama or florida poser---ignore his anti-Kiffin material.

Astute observation.

This sounds kind of crazy at first read, but I can definitely see how a junior in high school would love this. I can guarantee you they will remember Tennessee after this visit, and that is what it's all about. I just hope shirt ripping is not a secondary violation....

What so unique about this?

Doesn't everyone get fired up, slam doors, rock heads, and rip their shirt off at work?

I had the whole office fired up for Chick-fil-a today.

Lane and his staff are way ahead of the curve in coming up with these motivational strategies for potential recruits---this is a great marketing idea, and will pay off big with recruiting down the road. Florida, bama and georgia will be left in the dust of UT's recruits--mark it down!

u keep believing this...it's laughable:post-4-1090547912:

i can just see it know...ask a recruit why he chose fl, bama, lsu..."they win championships...I'm here to win a championship and continue the tradition."

ask a new recruit why he chose tn..."I ran thru a fog machine and the coaches pulled their shirt off and got me excited...their man boobs jiggled...wow, i'm glad to be a vol."

this entire episode is beyond belief...a big silly stunt.

yep, fl, bama, ga, lsu recruit champions, we recruit guys that get fired up over 50+ year old topless men. wow, just wow!

Makes perfect sense. Kids being brought together from different places and not knowing each other. Anyone that has been to something like this knows how clammy and quiet everyone is. They broke down the walls and had everyone feeling like a unit. Classic team building type stuff I would say. Everyone leaves feeling like they belonged. Perfect.

We can't really play the Championship angle right now. I'm not going to open the obvious can of worms, but we just can't play that angle.

yep, sounds reasonable to me...wow, i hope you don't believe that do you. so it takes old men tearing their shirts off to make feel belong. if fact, how cheezy is "ut wild boys"? they couldn't even be creative - they borrowed it from usc. i guess he really wants the university to usc of the east. yep, don't have our own identity, just a copy of another.
