Heard on the radio this morning that the South Carolina game will be a 7:45 eastern kickoff on ESPN. CBS stuck with the UGA-UF game. Does CBS have a love-fest with Tebow and the Gators or what????

Well Lundquist does, that's for sure... I'm sure we'll be told for the 80th time this year that Tim Tebow's roommate also plays football with him and get this, they kissed in the Tennessee game.... It's a little creepy, Lundquist may want to examine his fascination....

I like the ESPN night games. This is good news to me. I really like Ron Franklin and I hope he gets to broadcast this game.

If Tennessee wins this week, the South Carolina game will be this season's most important game.

Having all day to "get ready" for the game should have Neyland ROCKING.

If Tennessee beats Alabama and S. Carolina, you have to like their chances of ending up in Atlanta. Especially if the Gators drop one to UK, Georiga or S. Carolina.

Ron Franklin doesn't do ESPN night games anymore, he's on ESPN2. Mike Patrick and Todd Blackledge do the ESPN night games.

I thought they had moved him back to the primetime game. I liked the Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried team but I guess ESPN knows more than I do. Mike Patrick is pretty good too but Ron is better IMO. I like them better than the CBS Gators crew.

If the Vols handle their business against the Tide, you can bet that Neyland will be rockin' under the lights on Saturday night. Hopefully we'll see a lot of fireworks.

he also made it a point to mention that his roommate is black... sounded like he was surprised that a white person and black person were friends.

Neyland will be rockin even if we lose (We won't)

And I always pray to see a lot of orange and white fireworks.

I do believe ESPN has an option for first choice on occasion. I have no idea how that would work.

I may be wrong, but that would make total sense in this case.

CBS has first choice because of their partnership with the SEC. They usually take the Cocktail Party.

I really don't think that there's much difference between the two spots as to prestige. In fact, if anything, I often end up watching the ESPN game at that time more than the broadcast network game.

yea i noticed that too, im sure the producers had a little talk with him after that because that could have been blown out of proportion quickly the way things are today

I'm glad. Let's go beat Alabama and then a night kickoff will be electric against a potential top 5 team. We owe them from the last visit on Peyton Manning's night when they beat us.

The 15 day forecast is showing a high of 57 and a low of 45 for that day. Finally . . . some football weather.

i kno CBS has first shot at an SEC game, and then ESPN and LF can pick up the leftovers so i really dont understand how UT comes off of a win over UGA who was a top 12 team and MSU beats Auburn and the game doesnt get televised.. LF showed Alabama and Ole Miss instead of UT-MSU and then ESPN was showing their usual MTSU vs. Arkansas Sate games, i guess i dont really understand the whole tv deals or whatever but i would have thought that a UT SEC game would have been somewhere on tv, it just doesnt make sense to me

I realize this...but there have been ESPN exceptions in past years where they get first choice on a couple weeks. I'm willing to bet that hasn't changed.

As long as Tennessee (@Bama) and South Carolina (Vandy) win this week, there is a chance of Gameday coming.

Other Games that Day:

USC @ Oregon (Already been at Oregon once, can't imagine them going back there. It's also a Fox Sports Net Game.)
Florida vs. Georgia (Won't mean as much as South Carolina at Tennessee, plus it's on CBS.)
Ohio St. at Penn St. (I would say this is the favorite at the moment. It's the ABC night game, so that's where they prefer to be. As long as Ohio St. (Michigan St.) and Penn St. (@Indiana) win this week, I think this is the choice.
California at Arizona St. (Another Fox Sports Net Game. They would go to Knoxville first I think.)
Nebraska at Texas (Longshot at this point. Just don't see them going there over the Big 10 or SEC Game)

Gameday being in Lexington this week hurts us too. Hard for them to go to SEC Schools two weeks in a row. Even if Ohio St. or Penn St lose this week, I could see them going out west to Oregon again, before coming to Knoxville.

I would say Ohio St. Penn St. is 60%
South Carolina/Tennessee 20%
Southern Cal/Oregon 20%
