UT sighting in Iron Man 3

Not sure if yall made it to see the movie yet, but couldn't help but notice a couple UT flags on the walls in a scene in a bar. There's a stretch of the film that takes place in/around Rose Hill TN. Random, I know.

Best line in the movie:
Tony Stark - "Jarvis, ever been to Tennessee?"
Jarvis - "Plotting a flight course now, sir."

Pretty cool. Haven't seen it yet. Quentin Tarantino mentions Tennessee in almost all of his movies. Bruce Willis' character was heading to Knoxville after the fight in Pulp Fiction. Aldo Raines was from Tennessee in Inglourious Basterds.

Yep. Didn't know Tarantino was directing IM3, though.

Tanantino is from Knoxville.

There are references to Tennessee or scenes in Tennessee in all of his movies. Aldo Raine is from Maynardville, and his character fits that area. In Django Unchained Django and King Schultz pay a visit to Gatlinburg.

It's neat.

Thanks for sharing that information. I always like to hear things like that. Did Tarantino grow up in K-town & go to high school & graduate from there?

His family moved to LA when he was young. But he loves East TN, the baseball bat in Inglorious Bastards says Knoxville Slugger I believe. And no IM3 wasn't directed by Tarantino
