I thought they weren't doing that anymore? My understanding was that it would only be yesterday's celebration in Knoxville? If not, are they going to be in the Midstate?

I've taken my son and gone the past couple years. It is fun and we always had a good time. Actually spent some time talking to Chaney last year. I wish they would have continued to bring the coaches in for this event. We decided not to go this year since no coaches were going to be there....
Big party afterwards at Folks Folly hosted by Roy Adams and The Elkman. Lynn Lang and Albert Means will be signing autographs. Penny longnecks! Come on by.

I went last night in Knoxville. Was in town for business. I got there at 4:30 ready to go to the cash bar and shoot the chit with a couple people. Nobody showed till 5:15. 99% of the people there just stood around and stared until they let everybody sit down. Never wanted to go before. Never want to go again. They need to get better promoters and make the thing a good time. People couldn't get to their cars fast enough. DD did what he was supposed to do, but it was just odd to me. Maybe have a true celebration party somewhere and have a calm sit down discussion as well. I was in the mood for both.
It was a little better than I was expecting mainly because Brent threw in some "behind the scenes" stuff. Like Gabe Wright telling the UT coaches that he was coming to Knoxville for two weeks leading up to signing day. Wright even became friends with Richardson and was texting him that he will see him in Knoxville, etc. Evidently telling the Auburn people the same thing the whole time.
They had some small finger foods and drinks and allowed people to socialize first.
Associate AD Mark Ingram then got up there and talked about the state of Tennessee football, the stadium renovations, etc. He then handed it over to Hubbs.
Hubbs talked about a few of the recruits and told some stories like the one above.
Then played some highlight tape of all of the recruits.
He then took questions and all in all in lasted about 2 hours and change.
Cedrick Wilson was there. Chris Wallace (Grizzlies GM) was there. And a few others.
