I'm a Smyrna alum with a lot of friends still hooked into the football program, and I can tell you with certainty that Rod will be wearing orange next fall...

that is, orange and blue. Sorry guys, I know through a solid source that Rod is a Gator lock.

Come again? What was that you said?

And I'd like to point out I can't stop staring at the talent in your avatar. Hope she has a good warranty on those bad boys.

VolFan1978, did you just make up all that or what?

Yep (except for the part about being from Smyrna and having sources there), I was trying to get everyone down so that when he committed to UT there would be something to cheer about for a change.

He's been a UT fan most of his life, and truthfully I would have been shocked if he would have gone Gator. As someone else correctly pointed out, he has pretty much been a lock since the State Championship.

It will be nice to have a kid who wants to wear the orange and white for pride rather than as a stepping stone to the NFL for a change...

Big commitment. Wilkes is very talented. His coach said he ran a 4.46 at a combine recently and I've heard the knock on him is his speed. Not any more apparently.

That's not the greatest top end speed but it will work. He's got good size etc al. Glad he's coming here
