I think this is the year Chandler becomes a household name, love his game. Him and Jordan make a great 1-2 combo but honestly a three headed monster is very doable. Nothing against RBs Banks or London, but am I the only one who thinks Carlin Fils Aime could be special as well? Admit it’s a head scratcher to have a guy who led the team in YPC last year to play CB this year. I understand depth at CB but he avg 6.9 ypc last year.

I see Chandler and Jordan both being co-starters but was hoping to see more CFA. I think the run will be a huge help this year under Will Friend, he gets the most out of his lineman and think UT will lean on the run game to win games this year, eat the clock, and help the defense by staying on the field. 3,000 yards on the ground is my prediction.

Who would you rather have start?

CFA got moved to DB. i think Jordan, Chandler and London will all get a lot of carries/touches. i like our RB rotation. and i'm not sure that Banks won't figure in at some point either. he's the prototype they want.

I haven't watched the practice videos and I did not attend the spring game...having said that, I think Ty Chandler is a special talent poised to have a breakout season. He's my choice to start until he isn't.

this is gonna sound like a smart azz response, but i actualy appreciate that you said you have no reason to believe what you believe, other than you believe it.

I think the staff knew what was coming in at RB and didn't at CB. So they made that move with CFA. I do agree that I think he is a better fit than Pruitt probably thought at RB. He runs physical for his size in some clips last yr. at the end of the day CFA probably isn't a NFL RB so it's probably worth seeing what he can do at CB so when he likely transfers he will know what spot is best for him.

Nobody was beating out Chandler and Jordan though as the top two guys. I think jordan goes off

I think a lot of our fans are snoozing on Jordan. Will he be a Heisman contender? Probably not. But he is a tough runner that is a bit slippery.

Man it sure would be great to get back to those days when on 3rd and 3 everyone knows who's coming and the D just can't stop it! Think Jamal Lewis in the '97 Georgia game, Travis Stevens '01 Florida, Jay Graham '95 Bama. It just totally demoralizes the other team when you can just line up and pound the rock. That final drive against Arkansas in '98 after the Stoerner fumble was just a thing of beauty, 9 guys in the box and Henry still ripping off yards in chunks. Razorbacks thinking we're playing for the FG...naw we taking it to the house. It's been too long too long.

i dunno about sleeping on him. just not a huge body of work to refer back to. i think most have bought in to the fact that we're going to see 3 guys thru out the season. and Chandler and Jordan figure to be at the top of the order. we'll find out soon enough.

either way, if i'm picking positions on the roster to be concerned about, RB is not one of them.

Travis Henry was in Buffalo in 2001. Travis Stephens?

I don't think London will have the stats of the others, but I think he will be the one that gets those hard to get third and short yards.

he's a pretty good pass catcher too, iirc. conventional wisdom, sure, he's a bigger back so that equates to short yardage specialist.

i think he can fit as 3 down back in this offense...especially if the offensive line turns out to be what looks like a pretty good unit.

that said, i lean toward the conventional wisdom myself...lol.

If our O line turns into a good, solid run blocking unit then by the end of the season I think we'll be calling Chandler TY-no-mite!

He has the potential to take any handoff all the way to the house.

Ty now knows for a fact what to expect in SEC footVol, he knows exactly what his OC and HC wants, he has a bad taste in his mouth after last season and he's hungry for WINS so he's worked out hard and knows the playbook.

Now his serious determination comes into play and you can bet that he's ready to show the world that he's a RB to fear on every play.

It's breakout time for Ty Chandler if our O line can open up some creases for him to explode through.

VFL...GBO!!!

I've never seen CFA as an SEC RB. He had a couple nice runs but his body type just doesn't seem to fit there. I think he's a good player but he's just one of them wildcards imo.

That demoralizes the other team, it’s when teams quit.

The only thing that makes sense to me about CFA is the possibility that he didn't have the frame to add the weight Pruitt expects at RB. I think he's listed at 180 but probably wasn't that last year.

The other part is that it seems pretty clear that if Pruitt needs a guy on D and O... he's going to play D. I'm not saying he isn't looking for improvement on O... but D is the higher priority when it comes to allocating talent followed by OL. Makes sense- stop the other team and control the LOS.
