Who is the Rozier walk on guy? Does he have a legitamte chance of turning into a candidate who may start?

Lets just put it this way.....if that guy ends up our starting QB, we got BIG problems. There is a reason he is just walking on.....IMO, he was only for depth, cause CLK and staff knew BJ was hitting the road.

I want the OP to come back and explain what was interesting in that article.

This guy must have been bored and lost for words when writing this article. First of all, what he is saying is not going to happen, and further more he can't even get the names right. What a waste of time.

Exactly. Seems like an opinion that we would be better off disregarding.

He is walking on because the Red Sox have to pay for his education.

Worst. Article. Ever.
Sports journalists are constantly lamenting that print is dying and continue to bash sports bloggers as 'fake journalism'.

But you read an article such as the one above, and you realize how piss poor some supposedly 'legit' newspaper writers are.

Opinion, not fact; incorrect names; bad editorial form (bullet points in a 250 word article?); no news, just speculation - just a bad, bad article.

Just as a historical note ...

we used to have a Greg Jones, I recall he was linebacker in late 70s, from Bristol I think. Maybe not all-SEC, but tough as nails.

This is a fun thread, but you definitely need to read that wonderful article before the other posts.

Like others, I'm excited about this Greg Jones kid. We all suspected Fulmer had hidden some talent on the team that we needed to see.

Greg Jones just may be the guy we needed. :)

At first, it's hard to believe CPF and Company could have lost a QB for a few years, but then I remembered they forgot about Hardesty in the Alabama game. So, for me, that made it easier to believe we had this great passing and running QB on our current squad who could step up this fall for us. :peace2:

It's just a matter of time before this news is all over the Bammer boards. I'm sure they get some story about this kid's ineligibility cooked up over the weekend.

He should have picked a different word. Interesting really doesn't fit UT's qb situation.

Some how I just know that I'm reading your name wrong... but I can't help it. Maybe you could give the story behind it or something :hi:

LSU fan here who arrives here in peace. I think y'all have a great shot at Heaps. He is the type of qb y'all need. We are among his top 5 supposedly but we are not getting him.

Good luck this year especially against two teams we both despise; The Gumps and The swamp lizzards.

Welcome. I hope so, but everyone seems to like Washington now. Heaps has been a Huskies fan, and if he goes there then we could definitely lose out on Scroggins too. LSU is actually a major player for him (Scroggins). I think--or hope--we get one of the two, but who knows.

Realistically, that good luck probably won't pay off for another year, but it is appreciated nonetheless. :hi:
