the press doesn't know what to report anymore... just look at the political arena as well... most of the "reporting" these days are based on opinion and belief... not fact..unfortunately

It is a lot safer to say he isn't coming than to say he is coming. If it is reported that Gruden to UT is 100% in the bag and it doesn't happen then you have a tremendous amount of fallout from the fans/ listeners.

If you say Gruden isn't coming and he somehow does, it is a much easier sell to the listeners and fans. Everyone is happy and it sort goes away that the media was wrong.
