Hey I had the best BBQ in Memphis that I have EVER eaten in my life at this little store named Joe's...I went there every single day that I was in town hahaha!...Yes it was that good...Not sure if its still there as it was many years ago but man I can still taste it...Let me put it this way, It was so damn god I was tempted some years back to try and find the place online and have them fed ex me a few sandwiches!! Hahaha!!

I'd think this is more along the lines of touching base with Marlon Brown (he still has UT on his list and is still planning on making an already scheduled official visit on Jan 31) and it's probably also to touch base with Aubrey Phillips (Olive Branch lineman) who seems to be waivering a bit on his UT commitment in the wake of Fulmers firing.

Brown dropped to #54 I believe nationally...Kiffin supposedly signed with Sexton last week, and now the UT plane is in Memphis(Sexton's office is in Memphis)the day after he(Kiffin)was reported to be in Knoxville playing golf...hmmm...

Hammy has been calling committed kids, not showing up at guys schools who are leaning towards Georgia...you guys will make up any B.S. to start a conversation. Do you people not have any friends in the flesh you can talk to, or do most of you live in the basement and have a pet robot??

I too would find it odd that an AD would make an in home visit. It is also not normal for out going coaches to continue recruiting.

Does an Ipet count?
Last I checked Marlon Brown had UT number 1. I believe USC was second.
Since you posted here I assume you have a basement and what type of pet?

Tom maybe you are right and they are there to talk to players. But that would be out of the norm for an AD to do. If he is actually going to get a coach as soon as he thinks I would tend to believe it is a meeting with JS.

Chances are it involves Jimmy Sexton.

i'm laughing at the fact this flight to memphis can only have football related implications. Were we not laughing hysterically at bammers for doing this just about 20 months ago?

I agree, Sexton is a logical choice. I never mentioned AD being here. I will be curious to see if any of our thoughts are confirmed.

my mom's cousin's little boy just called me. He's a bagboy at the Kroger in Alcoa and said Mike Hamilton stopped in to get a few supplies last night. Also mentioned he was flying out first thing in the morning to go to Tunica. Evidently he's taking the ESPN money and going double or nothing in roulette to try and lure the John Gruden/Lane Kiffin/Monte Kiffin combo. Supposedly with the cash he might win, he will be able to lure Peyton into retirement from the NFL and he will come back to coach QB's. If he still has 4 mill left over, he's going to be able to Al Wilson to also help on the defense.

Take it for what it's worth because mom's cousin's little boy is only 17 and dropped out of school to make a career there at the Kroger's, but that's what he just told me.

Its just logical to think it involves Sexton. MH has set a very short time table to get a new hire done. Football is the cash cow for the AD and he needs to make this transition as soon and smooth as possible. His actions in the past lead me to believe he will. Maybe the are there for other reasons. But to laugh at the thought of MH being there to talk to Sexton shows lack of knowledge.

i'm not laughing at it being a possibility, but UT has one plane for the entire university. To get so worked up about it's every trip is laughable. Especially if UT has it's own facilities within that city.

Very nice course. Is it the 8th that is the tough as hell par 4? Ive only played it once and it was a few years ago. But it was nice.
