2007 -- before Obamas inflation

"Overall inflation during Obama’s time in office has been less than half the historical average.
The average yearly rise in the Consumer Price Index under Obama has been just 1.7 percent, measured from December to December. That’s well under half the post-World War II average, according to BLS figures. From 1946 to 2008, the average December-to-December rise in the CPI was a bit more than 4 percent.
And inflation has slowed as the economy has warmed up. In the most recent 12 months on record, ending in May, the CPI rose less than 1.1 percent.
For the first seven years and four months of Obama’s time in office, the CPI has gone up by only 13 percent. In the eight years of the Bush administration, the CPI went up 20.7 percent." - Factcheck.org/micdrop

Anyone have an idea what their costs are for travel? Perhaps $150k? Just wondering about what hits the bottom line.

They probably strolled down the Appalachian Trail in true Ho Chi Minh fashion.

Maybe offed a few dozen squirrels, coons and rabbits along the way.

If you were well off before the recession, then you made out well under Obozo. If you lacked sizable investment portfolio or lost your home then you really lost ground the last 8 years. I was fortunate to have some decent investments but I could have bought some dirt cheap foreclosures and didn't that would have paid off in spades. My biggest observation is that a poorly negotiated NAFTA has really eroded the lower middle class jobs so the gap between the haves and have nots is getting much wider.

Also the Consumer price index is worthless because it doesn't include volatile items such as fuel and most food. I don't think it includes the cost of education/student loan debt either.

That is why Appalachian State moved from FCS (1-AA) to FBS (1A).

The payouts are much better as an FBS.

He's pointing to the post regarding inflation. Inflation has undoubtedly been low in the last decade unless you care to show otherwise. Inflation by itself is not a good or bad thing besides that you don't want extremes on either spectrum.

I'm not sure why you seem to be taking offense when facts were presented regarding a very specific claim about inflation.

Hey!

We're paying Bob Shoops $1.15M a year.

That's it, I've broken the code.

App State is a "W". App State costs $1.15M.

Bob Shoop costs $1.15M. Therefore, Bob Shoop is a guaranteed "W" on top of the rest.

Last year, we had 8 wins in the regular season. This year, we get 8 + App State for $1.15M + 1 more in Shoop Effect for $1.15M = 10 wins in the regular season.

Makese sense to me.

And given that, it sounds like a win being $1.15M, we probably need to be paying our coaching staff (all together) 12 x $1.15M so that we can go 12-0 next year. That's $13.8M spread out among all of them.

Is that what Butch is hinting, when we pay Bob Shoop $1.15M and we pay App State $1.15M ???

Hmm???

Makes you think at least, doesn't it?
