if Harrison Bailey is even decent there’s no way Guarantano starts next year since no one loses eligibility. Unless he proves me wrong this year of course.

I love how Auburn made both an overrated and underrated list. That's Auburn to a tee.

I find it a little hard to believe that they're underrated given that they are 11th in the AP, and Auburn historically disappoints in years where they have a high preseason ranking, but we'll see.

Hard to argue w/facts. This is where the Bailey factor will be interesting. If/When JG does JG things do we take our lumps w/the future and get him experience? Do we see a situation similar to last year where we work him in throughout the year? All depends on JG I suppose. Hope he steps up and has a great year.

Not really bothered by it; Dodd doesn't seem to think much of UT anyway, picking them 5th in the East. He is not confident in UT's QB situation, which I get. But Dodd has UK picked 3rd, who is placing its hopes on a QB who hasn't played since 2018, and who did little more than hand the ball off to Snell that season. Just doesn't seem consistent.

I've posted it 100 times. JG needs to be better, but we're on a 3 year run of finishing in the bottom of the league in rushing. Don't tell me it's all a QB problem.
If our offensive line is better this year and plays like it did in the second half of last year, then it'll be fair to blame JG if he still hasn't improved.

JG's been a weak spot on the team ever since he got here, but I think the singling out people love to do of him is unfair in light of how bad the offensive line and defense were in 2018 and the first half of 2019. There have been a lot of comments about him over the years like he's the only thing holding this team back from being good, which is total BS.

The weak spot has been the QB position period. No one has been able to win the spot over JG, and it isn't because Pruitt and Chaney haven't wanted someone else to wiin it.

"QB position period?" You really think that was the only problem with this team in 2018 and early in 2019?

They have Auburn and A&M listed as most overrated and most underrated. They cannot be both, can they?
It does show how meaningless these types of pre-season lists are. There are so many variables to the season we are about to see (hopefully!) for everyone. For example, home field advantage will never be as insignificant as it will be in 2020. Anyone who thinks they know how this season will unfold isn't as smart as they want to believe.

Actually, yeah it is.
When Dobbs was QB, some of the better statistical rushing we've ever had were with him as QB. It was because you couldn't load the box and stop us. He would hurt you on scrambles meaning the defense had to account for 11 guys and not just 10. He couldandhurt you enough to respect the pass. A true dual threat. If you're not or can't be that, than you better be able to convert 3rd downs by completion. JG hasn't done either.... so the boxes have been crowded most of the time...with him at the helm.

Gray came on pretty strong the last half the season, hopefully he continues that -- Chaney though likes the pass more than the run, he showed that with Bray
