I know tickets have been readily available around Neyland on game day. What's the situation around the Liberty Bowl for the UT game? Are tix going to be around and reasonable on game day?

Tickets should be everywhere, there is no way Memphis fans will outnumber UT fans in that stadium and they should be reasonable priced. The area around the Liberty Bowl is alot better than it used to be as they have taken down some of the damaged buildings. Plenty of room to park and tailgate.

ill be there saturday. called the university of memphis about tickets and they were still available. wanted $50 each though. you can usually get tickets for $10 so what does that tell ya.
with memphis' attendance getting a ticket outside wont be a problem. when you first get there they will be asking too much so be patient. as the game gets closer the prices will come down.

$50 game ticket price is absurd; like Vandy, they have a lotta gall & really try to stick it to Vol fans. You'll get a fair price on the street if you're patient.

If I have to pay $50 a piece for tickets I will have a extra $100 to gamble with in Tunica and a even happier wife!

It's MEMPHIS...You could probably find a smokey mountian market around there somewhere and order a slaw dog and a big gulp dr pepper and get two free tickets to the game....They couldn't draw flies with a fresh corpse.

Many Memphis fans are selling their tickets left and right. Depending on who you ask, you can find a ticket for $10. However, if possible, don't appear as a UT fan. Otherwise, they'll be reluctant to sell it to you, because they don't want orange to outnumber blue in their home stadium. :birgits_giggle:

For those going, I would recommend parking at CBU. That's where I will be parking.

UTHSC was offering them $50 a pop to students in September, and said if they didn't sell out, they would be available to the public.

They became available to the public. I expect there to be a number of tickets available.

Heard Monday on the radio here in Memphis that there was still about 20,000 tickets left. Tennessee website sold out last week.

According to a poster on Memphistigers.org, UT returned 1/3 of their allotment to Memphis. I hope your the one thats right. :good!:

lol - there's no way. West Tennessean Vol fan will buy them up quickly like always.

Actually, I think that UT did return quite a bit of tickets. That is not to say that West TN Vol fans are not buying them up though. As mentioned earlier, a lot of Memphis fans have been selling for cheap (Our single game ticket constitutes 1/3 the price of their season ticket total) and I have heard of some giving away their tickets. Some will buy from the UM ticket office and I expect there will be a lot of walk ups.
