Just like Kmart, Sears, and TRU became irrelevant in the world of retail, the once formidable Fortune 500 companies are long gone because they didn’t keep up with Walmart, Amazon, etc. Likewise, Tennessee is bankrupt, just like Kmart, Sears, and TRU. The brand is ruined because the administration at UT chose not to compete with Bama, Georgia, etc. The next time we will see UT being competitive in the SEC will be the same time you buy Christmas gifs at Kmart, Sears, or Toys R Us. Merry Christmas, Vols fans.

And Mike Hamilton was our Eddie Lampert. Pinched pennies when it came to hiring qualified people...

I refuse to buy this. All it takes is the right coach and for the administration and boosters to get out of his way. This could turn around faster than most people think.

But...Homer Pruitt isn’t the coach.

UT needed a proven coach after Kiffin left and even more so after Dooley and Jones (no, Jones was not a proven coach).

Kiffin was an experiment, but one that would have worked out. A rarity. But, Mike Hamilton is the one that screwed all that up.

Tennessee football is like the Haji shop near an Iraqi FOB that sells middle eastern Klondike bars that actually turn out to be frozen lard once you bite into it.

You see it, you have hope you that you think you see what you think you see, nostalgia kicks in then reality comes knocking and you are bitterly disappointed and embarrassed at the end.

Maybe Tennessee will improve in 2020 and be on the level of Walmart

I disagree.

Have you ever seen someone sets up a mobile yard sale out of their car at an abandoned gas station on a busy corner? It happens a lot in rural Alabama. You see it then when you’re headed to the beach. They sit in an old lawn chair, hoping for someone to stop. But nobody stops. Why won’t they stop?

Yeah...that’s us right about now.

There is, or used to be a place near Henderson Tennessee, and Jackson. At a crossroads in the Diamond Grove, Beech Bluff area.

It was called "Wells Mart", owned by a guy named Wells, I assume. It was multiple dilapidated buildings on all sides of the road. Part convenience/country,/hardware store, part yard sale/flea market.

It was kind of weird and confusing.

We are Wells Mart.

Are you so bitter because of the losing?
No. OP has 4 posts. I realize everyone has a right to start a thread, but so many seem to be started just for the sake of starting one. It just gets old.
I guess maybe I don't appreciate the analogy of this one. If you want to do that, at least use a professional sports team that is a train wreck.
And no I don't, nor have I ever worked at Kmart, Sears, or Toys R Us.

So you're haning your hat on this this and the other asinine thread you started?
