I think that anytime you go into Gainesville or Athens and get a win, it's "big."

I know that Bama wasn't very good in 03, but that it was a dog-fight, 5 overtime game, that will go down as one of the most memorable games in the history of the rivalry...and we were victorious.

We had a dogfight with Kentucky last year, too. Was that a big win?

I wouldn't consider playing down to another team's ability and barely pulling it out "A Big Win."

the only thing i'd sat to that is had we lost any of the three you refer to, they'd be viewed as big losses...that much i know for sure.

If we lost to Vanderbilt, that would be considered a big loss, however that doesn't make it a big win if we beat them. We are supposed to.

Agreed, but in SEC play, any road win that doesn't come against Vandy, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St is a really good win.

comparing Vandy to GA, FL, BAma, USC, LSU is a bit of a stretch......and please don't bring up 05, i do remember it well.

Bama, which was brought up as a big game by another poster, was horrible that year. Actually Bama hasn't been very good since the probation started having it's effect. It is not what I would call a big game, but a game that we should have won. Now that is changing with the probation gone and a proven head coach, Bama will be a big game again.

But don't say that beating a horrible Bama team is a big win.

I don't think they were "horrible". They still managed to get to a bowl game

i never thought i'd see a day that a TN fan would not call the Bama game big. and i'm not trying to over inflate their national status or anything, i know the probation etc...and they were down.

i guess there are just a lot of people now a days that never grew up or lived thru Bama dominated periods in their life.

That's true. Fans in their early 20s probably can't ever remember a time when Alabama completely owned us.
