Here is the disclaimer on this list:

This is intended to represent the 50 best “college football prospects” in the state. So it’s based as much on potential at the next level as much as it is high school production.

And don't forget about Jay Rome at No. 3, but they don't even list UT as an option.

However, they list UT has an option for Crowell and Drew.

Not very up to date with Crowell's recruitment, but if he chooses UGA it looks like UGA gets 5 out of the top 6 in the state. Not too bad. However, I'm sure the list was fashioned somewhat purposefully to end up that way. Back to Crowell though I am assuming it will be UGA considering D.Hart choose Alabama yesterday. I could be wrong. Anybody have a good idea where he is going?

We're still very confident that Crowell ends up in Athens. He will take his OV to Bama next week and then comes to Athens the following week. UGA will go all out for his visit. I believe he's a Dawg in the end but you can never count Bama out either.

^Bama... he will just blend in to all the other 5 star RBs they have.

Crowell, Drew, and Rome are basically Georgia locks.

UT is having some good success in GA but I wouldn't say picking through and having a field day.

I agree with you. But considering it isn't a state school, Tennessee has done well.

Considering that--in addition to not being the state school--we had a 6-7 record this year (whereas multiple other schools from bordering states trying to poach talent were in the top 15), 6 of the top 50 with potential for 2 more is pretty good.

Absolutely. And by getting these top recruits out of GA, Tennessee is building a foundation for future success in the state.

A.J. Green going pro per Ajc. Maybe it is "too risky" over in Athens. Come on Rome come play for the good guys:D
