UT was constantly getting props on the national broadcast featuring the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the nation, with roughly 28 prospects between the two for 2010 alone! One of the main reasons for all the props were UT verbal commitment Corey Miller DE, just dominated the game with 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. There were 3 UT verbals in the game (Miller, Brandon Willis, and Michael Palardy) and about 4 other players had UT in their top 6. UT's name was probably brought up about 20 or more times. At one point coming back from a commercial break there was about a 10 sec clip featuring UT Highlights and pictures of CLK. I think this is showing the country UT is on the rise and is gonna be the place to be. Props to the staff for their efforts in recruiting.

Saw some of the game........once I remembered it was on........and Miller was a beast. Constantly in the backfield. Lattimore can stay in SC, he reminds me of Foster..........could break open the big run but in the end coughed it up when it mattered most.

That's awesome. There's no telling how many recruits were watching that on television.

Did you hear it? I believe his fumbles were a combination of playing against top opponent and maybe the hype of the game. Fumble issues can be corrected. He is still a heck a player. :good!:

The Miller and Willis commits from Byrnes could end up being huge for UT in the future. I used to live in Spartanburg, SC, and the entire upstate SC area is very rich in football tallent. If these kids could set up a pipeline to Byrnes, as well as other schools in the upstate, it could make Lane's job of recruiting out of the state of TN much easier.

True statement. Side question, is Gary's Diner still open just above Orange Ave? Seems like it was across the street from a Holiday Inn. :crossfingers:

If I am not mistaken, Gary's was around the Augusta area, which was a bit of a hike from where I was. The entire state of SC seemed to have had amazing mom and pop type restaurants that had so much character and great food. I miss living down there. My waist line, on the other hand, doesn't.

According to No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas defeats No. 2 Byrnes, 42-34 - USATODAY.com Urban was on the STA sideline for the game. That doesn't seem legit. Is any interested head coach allowed? Anyone know the rules on this type of contact by a head coach?

Yea he was there, they kepth showing him on camera on ESPNU. i'm not really sure on the exact rules, but i think it has something to do if you have a bye week you can go out and evaluate. fla did have a bye week, but not real sure about being on the sidelines I played HS football for four years and was recruited some by some really small schools, and i'm pretty sure that isn't allowed but i don't really know, surely urban knew the game was on tv so it's prob legit cuz he wouldn't wanna get caught, but there are so many rules i don't really know. i thought the same thing tho.
