UT gear made by

UT prefers Adidas because they provide all their schools (ND, Nebraska, UCLA) a rep from their company, who lives in the college town, and has an office on campus. As large as some athletic departments are, this can be a great advantage. I like Adidas more just because it isn't as "played-out" as Nike, at this point, but I do agree their fan gear is better. If you have ever worn Adidas cleats, you do know they suck as well.

i like the adidas look, but i'd prefer to go back to nike. it's a simple reason. nothing to do with actual gear, but the Nike football camps are huge and if our contract was with Nike we could hold the camps at Neyland and our practice facilities and showcase UT for free. I just think it would be huge in the recruiting battle in football.

yeah, since we have such a big problem recruiting in football. cmon.

I remember a couple yrs ago why Tommy Tuberville chose to move to New Balance. In the SEC championship, Nike started griping because Ronnie Brown and Cadillac taped over the "swoosh" WTF..how stupid...i just remembered that

I remember our players used to wear orange cleats back in 03,04? I really like it. But last year we wore back ones. I wonder why?

I think the players were complaining about them....not the color, but the way that particular cleat felt on their feet. So the staff made a switch to another shoe.
