How is it determined which company makes uniforms for a certain school? Nike-Miami Tenn.-Adidas ect. and if you could choose who would you pick for Tenn? I myself like Adidas.

Adidas is kind of cheap looking, I'd rather go with Nike. I'm not too big of a fan of the Basketball Uniforms. Their shorts are just subpar if you've ever worn them.

I like Adidas. I don't like all of the funky jerseys that Nike comes out with.

Like Adidas too. Both Adidas and Nike make interesting designs. In the end its just a symbol on the jersey we are paying for.

I like adidas for football because their not ever going to mess with our unis except for that fat stripe for half a year that looked terrible. I used to love everything nike but now their making every team look just about the same. The b-ball unis aren't that great to me either, their shorts are so long it looks funny to me. Can't beat nike shoes though!

Why do lady Vols have blue? Not sure I like any blue.
I have never figured that out either and I wasn't a big fan of the guys jerseys that had the blue. The ony good thing about the guys jersey is that they just used it for trim and the girls are trying to incorporate it as one of their primary colors.

what happened to Sports Belle? were they pushed aside in favor of a big time manufacturer willing to pay UT big endorsement bucks?

I don't know how much truth there is to it but I heard that SB still actually makes the uniforms but they put the Addias logo on there now.

i think you may be right, i remember seeing something in the paper a few years ago that the jerseys were made in a factory somewhere around k'ville.

Actually, not sure if that is true, but it would not be far from what actually happens. I am sure Adidas contracts some garment maker to make them and just puts the Adidas tag on them. I doubt Adidas is really into operating clothing factories.

No way, Adidas pays a boatload of money to make the uni's...

They pay a boatload to advertise their name on the uniforms. The person I originally heard it from used to be an employee of SB and was the one that came up with idea of the black outline around the numbers.

I not sure a large corporation like Adidas and with the money they have would want a lower tier company to make the uniforms and then let them put their name on it...I could be wrong...Regardless, Adidas has final say on the finished product either way...

I would say you are very wrong, at least in my opinion. Many companies pay 3rd party factories to make products for them and stick their name on it. I work for a pretty famous name brand and some of the factories that spit out our product also make product for competitors.

As I said, I could be wrong, but I still believe that Adidas has final say on the finished product...I would assume we could agree on that...

Of course they do. No company is going to pay a 3rd party manufacturer to make something without giving them standards to meet.
